Shane Mosley vs Andre Berto (2010)

The WBA/WBC welterweight unification, that was scheduled to take place on Jan.30, 2010, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

As you probably remember, Berto withdrew roughly a week before the fight due to the earthquake tragedy in Haiti.

As far as I remember, Mosley was considered a favourite coming into that bout. But in hindsight - now, we know that 2010 happened to be a year, when Mosley's downfall started. Berto was young and unbeaten.

What would've happened in that fight?

Would've been very interesting. Berto never really went as far as Mosley or even particularly close, but if ever he would've had a realistic shot of beating Mosley this would've been it.

I think it would've been a close, competitive fight, but even at this stage of his career I think Mosley was better than Berto, and would've edged a close decision.
