Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker | PPV - 22 February 2025 (OFF)

Lots of noise now suggesting AJ won’t be ready for Feb as it’s a quick turnaround.

Warren has said Dubois is fighting regardless. Headline a card which could see:

Beterbiev vs Bivol 2 planned

Carlos Adames vs Hamzah Sheeraz, Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Jaron Ennis, and Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel are reportedly also in the works

———

If not AJ, who would you like to see Turki match Dubois with?

Personally, I'd like Kabayel or Bakole. I'd be suprised it Wardley didn't get a mention, but hearing him on the radio, it sounds like he wants a couple of fights first.

I really want to see Kabayel-Bakole though.

Let them have it out for mandatory position.

Otherwise; let’s see Dubois get a voluntary in.

But Frank said it would be against a top 5.

I’m guessing top 5 IBF ranked.

Assuming IBF are going to stick with bakole vs kabayal which i hope they do..... then.

Parker has to be the top choice for this.

Zhang would be a decent pick too.

Wardly would be a decent wildcard pick (he is IBF ranked).

But... you could put bakole vs kab in december...

then winner vs DDD in feb (ticking your mado),

then DDD vs AJ in may....

I think Dubois with anyone will be a good fight. He has huge power and backs himself. He has racked up a lot of experience and quickly.

It's a really exciting time in the heavyweight division. It was stagnating a bit but the Riyadh season has brought new life to the sport. We have seen some belting clashes these past 12 months.

got to be Parker who really wants a big fight and will go in with anyone - he has the movement and skill to avoid the big rights until dd tires himself out .

or maybe
zangh who again is just looking for his opportunity and as we know anything can happen with him - can be be a bit of a struggle like when he fought hirgovic or can be a full of drama like when he beat JJ .

Parker is a quality fighter and deserves a shot, however I don't have any real interest in watching him.

Big Bang on the other hand is always exciting

If you’re his manager you’re gonna get him a very winnable fight here, because his last four fights have been tough as hell. He might’ve been underdog in all of ‘em. Maybe the guy Bakole has lined up, definitely not Bakole though

FW should keep things in house, voluntary defence, Wardley is the obvious choice, an easier fight DDD should win, and if not FW still leaves with the champ.

If I were FW I would try and do a round robin between Fury, DDD, Moses and Wardley! And or any other fighters he has signed!

Fights and rematches between that lot will keep the title in house for 5 years.

So Efe Ajagba, Chisora or Guido Vianello. In fairness, Guido is a pretty good styles match for DDD.

Give it to Parker. And I would fancy Parker in that as well. Other option would be Zhang which would be fun.

Probably be Parker after I get replaced.

Potential banana skin though. You wanna give Dubois someone who isn't slick and doesn't move.

Efe Ajagba for me. Looks the part, only lost once. Can bang. Rated 7 by the IBF

Dubois needs to win a voluntary, so Parker/Zhang is to dangerous for me. Kabayel and Bakole can fight for the right

Assuming it's not Bakole or Kabayel while Zhang and Parker will apparently face off, then also with AJ, Usyk and Fury not being options then Ajagba is the best shout but I wouldn't be completely surprised if it's Wardley.

Is Efe coming off a win?

Dnuh.. Dubois-Efe seems like a nice o2 headline.

Or a Riyadh season undercard fight.

Doesn’t scream Saudi headline.

I mean, they could always have a bigger headline anyway and have it co-feature.

Completely agree. Parker's a great bloke and I wish him well but I want to see DDD in saloon bar fights, which he can have with numerous others. If Joyce had got past Chis that would have been more interesting.

He's got to prove it first, Bill. Kabayel will be a great fight.

Ok then, could we have Dubois vs Bakole? Where does that leave Kabayel? Does he face Parker or Zhang instead? Where does that leave the other one of those two?

Any of those mentioned would be good. The only problem with Parker is he could easily stink the place out with a defensive approach. That said, Dubois is 100% the main man right now.
