I'm researching the fight and found these scores in two vintage French newspapers: Lou Handler 72-68, Joe Lenahan 74-66, Jack Aspery 73-67.

The scores you mention are from the U.P. report. The Detroit Free Press reports 72-68 Handler, Lenahan 78-62, Aspery 71-69.
