They’ve already announced it’s not PPV.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Oct 2024, 08:52Unsure. Might be DAZN sub. I don’t think this one will be PPV
It’s definitely on DAZN in the U.K.. I think it will likely be on Sky too but will only be announced closer to the fight date.

Probably just be DAZN worldwide.
GBP are with DAZN and the recent partnership with RS and DAZN

With CBS being in the main event I’d be surprised if it’s not on Sky too. Let’s see. Either way it’s on DAZN normal sub.

I think this is going to be a long hard night for CBS. Zurdo has a great chin and a good all round game.

I’m hearing mismatch calls.. ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
Re: Gilberto Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith | DAZN - 16 November 2024
I was at Chris’ pro debut in Bournemouth a few years back and I honestly could never have envisaged that he would have gotten to this level. Incredible achievement for the lad and I really hopes he win.
A very humble, decent fella. One of the games good guys.
I don’t know much about Ramirez. I hope Chris turns up like he did against Riakphore rather than Matsernak.

It's not a mismatch, but it does have a Bud Crawford-Julius Indongo feel about it.

That's how I see it, but CBS performs miracles from the jaws of defeat. I couldn't count him out because when I have, he's only gone and bloody wonkeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 15:25 I think this is going to be a long hard night for CBS. Zurdo has a great chin and a good all round game.

Think this is one step too far for CBS. Hope Shane has got a good plan in place for him.

Sometimes you see a guy who ALWAYS seems to pull something out the bag , be it heart , endurance , chin , lucky punch , or just a style that is a lot better than it looks , is CBS one of these. He does seem to get on with the job , and he is a likable guy so good luck to him

I agree. I keep writing CBS off and every time he makes me look like a complete tit.KiwiRider wrote: ↑04 Nov 2024, 01:45That's how I see it, but CBS performs miracles from the jaws of defeat. Re: Gilberto Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith | DAZN - 16 November 2024
fight predictions
Malik Scott, Boxing trainer and former pro
“Julian [Chua] is one of the brightest trainers in boxing. I enjoy learning from him. I had Zurdo for his fight with Joe Smith, and he did well. No disrespect to Billam-Smith, but this fight is a mismatch.
“Zurdo is a big, strong southpaw who’s faced tougher opponents than Billam-Smith. He’s a powerful body puncher with great angles and an incredible boxing mind. Billam-Smith is big and keeps coming forward, but he’s a one-trick pony.
“He has a good trainer, but I think Zurdo takes over in the second half. Zurdo has a dream team in his corner. I believe he’ll become undisputed champion, with Jai Opetaia as his only real challenge.”
Tim Rickson, BBN Editor
“I will backing Billam-Smith all the way. I was pleasantly surprised with his last win over Riakporhe. I wasn’t sure that he could get revenge, but he showed to everyone that you just can’t write him off. The same applies when he was struggling with Masternak, he turned that around too.
“I think Zurdo is going to be his best opponent yet and one of the most experienced fighters he’s ever faced. The southpaw is a great body puncher and swarmer, but ‘The Gentleman’ can bang! So if he gets too close and too open, then anything could happen when Billam-Smith lets them go! He can take a shot too, so it would take something special for Zurdo to hurt Smith.
“CBS is a 2/1 underdog at most bookies, but I’m going to trust in his bravery, tenacity and determination for him to grind it out and get the win. If he can weather the early storms and still be standing strong, then I think he will have a great chance down the stretch.”
Marshall Kauffman, Kings Boxing
“These both are great fighters.
“I am picking Ramirez in this fight since he has been in with better opposition and is physically the bigger fighter.”
Harrison Baskind, BBN Writer
“CBS has been the underdog many times before, however I think this time the challenge will prove too big for him. I expect Ramirez to win on points, I don’t see him knocking CBS out though.
“I think Ramirez will use all his experience and the fact he is a southpaw to make it too awkward for his opponent and outbox him, winning comfortably on the scorecards.”
Burim Sylejmani, Fides Sports Promotion
“The best fight currently in the Cruiserweight Division.
“I think Chris Billam-Smith will win this fight.”
Arijan Goricki, IBO title contender
“My prediction is CBS by UD. Ramirez doesn’t seems like he likes boxing any more.”

Re: Gilberto Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith | DAZN - 16 November 2024
Maybe I’m a bit naive as I’ve not followed Zurdo’s career that closely & the only full fight I’ve watched of his was against Bivol but his records pretty underwhelming isn’t it?
There’s nothing about him that I’ve seen that suggests CBS should be a big underdog.
Beating a 36 year old Goulamirian on points who doesn’t have any wins of note doesn’t scream danger for CBS.

ramirez is a fairly slight fave from what i can see.
goul is a solid fighter, very strong. stopping merhy was a good win. zurdo is defo a lot more polished than cbs and looked well sized when he fought at cruiser. its a good match and cbs defo shouldnt be a big underdog (he isnt). he could outwill zurdo,, but i think ramirez has a bit more to work with to edge it.

maybe at this weight zurdo does better , have not been at all impressed with him at 175 and at 168 he was just a weight bully who avoided real fights .
CBS to grind it out like he tends to .

I can't make a case for CBS winning on points or by knockout. Hope I'm wrong.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑07 Nov 2024, 05:28 ramirez is a fairly slight fave from what i can see.

WBC sanctions Zepeda vs. Farmer for interim belt
Mexico's William “Camaron” Zepeda, who is ranked #1 by the WBC, will face the former 130-pound champion Tevin Farmer, for the WBC interim lightweight title on November 16th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The sad part is Farmer (33-6-1) is coming off a loss in his last fight, against Raymond Muratalla, and therefore is not deserving of even an interim title fight. Farmer is rated #13 by the WBC so other higher-rated fighters were skipped over. Zepeda (31-0) will have the opportunity to be crowned champion against Farmer, former IBF junior lightweght champion from 2017-2020, in a duel of left-handed boxers. Zepeda, who is considered to be a knockout machine, is already training in the mountains of the State of Mexico, guided by trainers Jay “Panda” Najar and Carlos Duarte.

Nothing surprises me with the any of the alphabet boys. Zepeda's gonna dominate Farmer, they might as well just give him the belt.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑07 Nov 2024, 06:49 WBC sanctions Zepeda vs. Farmer for interim belt
