Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
There were rumours of a shoulder injury going into the Hunter fight and you can understood why someone like Martin ( in the who needs him club at the point ) rolled the dice thinking he may have to wait a long time to get another high profile fight
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
It's an excellent match and I hope the winner gets a deserved crack at a world title.

Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
It's a shame about Frank Sanchez`s injury. That fight should have been a lot harder for Kabayel but you can't knock the run he`s on.
However, this is a curious matchup. Bakole is also on a remarkable run.
He looked fat and slow against Takam but showed tremendous hand speed power and range against Jared Anderson.
Kabayel will need to keep moving. It goes without saying that if he goes toe to toe and trades with Bakole he will get ko`d.
Dubois is no.1
Anyone out of Kabayel, Bakole, or Parker can claim the number 2 slot. Zhang is also not finished yet.
Much as I think Dubois deserves a second crack at Usyk I'd also like to see a first time crack for winner of kab v bak

Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
He did look very off that night which initially looked like Kabayel's pressure was too much but the injury made absolute sense. I wonder how quickly Sanchez can return against a top 15 guy and show us his real level because, although fairly boring, his speed and style asked questions that not many in the division are able to replicate.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 06:52 It's a shame about Frank Sanchez`s injury. Agreed. I don't think anyone would be choosing Usyk vs Dubois 2 over Usyk vs Parker/Kabayel/Bakole/Zhang. Even if Fury wins, I'd rather see him against Joshua, Bakole or Zhang over Dubois immediately.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 06:52

it doesnt get more contradictory than thatbilly nelson wrote: ↑24 Oct 2024, 10:12I’m sure Takam was smaller, stopped in 4joshj909 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 05:58It would be interesting to see what approach Kabayel takes. The last time Bakole fought a smaller and faster man who was actually skilled he lost. I think I only saw the highlights of his fight against Hunter but I guess if you can avoid the pressure and the big shots you can outpoint him?mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 05:55
I was thinking that. He's much better than some think and Bakolie isn't as good as some think.
Let go of the hunter loss Martin shouldn’t have even been in the ring lol
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
This is a %50 fight.
Will Bakole streamroll Kabayel, or will Kabayel outlast Bakole? If I had to choose one, I'd choose Kabayel.
Stylewise, Anderson was almost tailor-made for Bakole and brought the very best out of him. Whereas Kabayel gained success opposing different variaton of styles lately.

Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
On October 10th, the IBF ordered heavyweights Kabayel and Bakole to begin negotiations for an IBF final eliminator (and the IBF #1 ranking). Negotiations were to be concluded on or before October 23rd. An agreement could not be made within the time frame allowed, so the IBF initially ordered a purse bid for Tuesday, November 5th at 12 noon.

It appears Kabayel has pulled out of bids. damn!
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
I'd personally prefer them both to have different opponents.
Kabayel - Parker is a good style match I think.
Bakole - Wardley would be fireworks.
Now wouldn't that make a good double header bill?

I saw that. Any reason given. Hopefully it will be Bakole vs Zhang.
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
This does suggest that Kabayel will have Dubois, Parker or possibly even Zhang.
Any combination sets up a good fight. Would be happy with any of them.
Dubois vs Kabayel
Parker vs Kabayel
Zhang vs Kabayel

Good fight , fight each other then see who's ready for the Big Boys , for me another fence sitter , every time i think about it i just come up with don't know , common sence sort of says Martin may just have too much power , but little nagging thought says will he land , Don't care who wins its a good fight has a customer its what i want to see , and it will not do any of them any harm win lose or draw .
One good thing about King Tut Tut getting involved is reputaions are getting put on the line , and its only good for boxing , foook the days of TBA , after we find out what corpse is available , its looking like , in general ,you want some Saudi money , prove yourself , and thats a good thing .. Good fight

really like this fight. Kabayel always surprises me and is still young for a HW.
Bakole looking really good (without ever looking a specimen).
Hope everyone is well, not been on here much as started a new job a month ago and it's been full on so having a catch up on this forum for half hour, have missed it.

Amazes me when fighters pull out of final eliminators when they’ve never won a World title before.

Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
Either he has a better option (title fight vs Dubois or Parker who is technically Interim WBO champ) or a big money fight but I'm not sure how many of those there are for him. Other option is that he's a massive duck.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑14 Nov 2024, 17:05ah man, why do you think this is?jameswilson wrote: ↑14 Nov 2024, 16:59Amazes me when fighters pull out of final eliminators when they’ve never won a World title before.
One thing which I guess is slightly unrelated. I want to see what happens when Turki bids in title fight or eliminator purse bids.

He’d also need a promoters licence (or someone to use as a proxy!).

There are a few assumptions being made about why Agit has pulled out. It could be personal reasons, managerial disputes or a number of others.
Re: Martin Bakole vs. Agit Kabayel - IBF Ordered
Talk is that it will be Bakole vs Zhang.

jame go and do some homework, in the Yoka fight he throw 147 punches in one of the mid rounds which I was lead to believe is a record and he was throwing normal amount of shout in round 10.jameswilson wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 14:34 Yeah can Bakole keep going and win enough rounds through the body shot onslaught that Kabayel will put on him.
Will Kabayel be able to keep the swarming Bakole off of him.
We obviously know Bakole will have stopped Fury, Usyk, AJ and Wilder in sparring in the lead up.
If our opponent like you foolishly think Martin will gas, that’s the stone they will perish on
