Only watching this one because it is free.
But for the most part you are right. I will probably keep watching when there is something on that interests me.
I had never heard of Amanda Serrano before tonight so I didn’t have a dog in this race but I am angry for her and angry at boxing because you could see the decision coming from a mile away.
I've lost interest in boxing almost completely because of the shit decisions in major fights. The hometown fighter or the main money maker pretty much enters every fight with a three round head start--more in Canelos case.
There is no point in watching any more if the results of major fights are predetermined. It's just bad decision after bad decision after bad decision.
Went about like I thought it would. Old Mike had 1 good round in him, and then he was toast. Jake could've stopped him, but took pity on him which I think was better for all involved. Nobody wanted to see Mike knocked out in there.
Ramos vs Barrios was definitely the highlight of the card and an excellent fight.
Serrano vs Taylor 2 was a good fight, but was tainted with a bullsh*t decision. Katie seems to need a lot of judges help don't she?

I wonder what the ppv buy rate was
It wasn't ppv if you already have Netflix. It didn't cost me anything, thank God. It was the saddest boxing match I've watched since Ali-Berbick back in 81.

I actually watched Ali vs Berbick not too terribly long ago. It's way better than this was

Mike talking about fighting on but I can't see any promoter being able to sell another Tyson fight after this showing.
Yeah I can't imagine anybody would want to see any more of that from Mike. The intrigue was "What is 58 year old Mike capable of" and the answer we now know is. Not much.
Really feel for Amanda. I had her winning 6-4 or 7-3, plus the point off. The head butting was intentional and it didn’t let up even when Amanda suffered the horrendous cut. Would have to be a very very big pay for her to fight Katie again.
Thought barrios did enough to hold onto his title. 2 very good fights. Put some credibility to the card and hopefully these 4 fighters were well remunerated.
I watched it just to see Mike Tyson in the ring one last time.
He had aged badly since the Roy Jones exhibition, where he was fit, quick and snappy. Now the face was haggard, the body slow, the knee brace very ominous. I hoped him and Paul would take it easy en route to a prearranged draw, but, to my horror, they were definitely trying to twat each other.
I agree Paul could perhaps have piled it on but seemed leery of catching a desperation punch. I do think the 2020 Tyson would have beaten him but at nearly 60 he couldn't move anymore and couldn't take any risks himself.
BTW: Tyson obsessives are interpreting only 18 punches landed as evidence their idol was paid not to KO Paul... His fans are as mad as Mike.
The card was worth watching as a boxing fan, we all knew what the so called main event was.
The ladies and the welterweights made the card worth watching. Unfortunately I missed the Carrington v Coolwell match up if anyone can give and feedback?
