117/111 was too wide but a poor start really cost Pauls there.

Good fight though and well done to both.

I've got it 116-111 Bentley, good tussle, he began sharp out the blocks, Pauls was a bit wild and crude winging in overhand rights but rounds 5/6 he started closing the gap, unsettling Bentley, wasn't always clean but it was effective, Bentley looked good when he boxed behind the jab and fired out the right hands, he was dangerous with the counter lefts as well, it was anybody's fight until the 10th when Bentley dropped Pauls with a jab, straight away I thought thumb in the eye but it was hard to tell on replay, looked like he just flicked the glove up to the eye, must've been painful because you seen Pauls grimace and he's no pussy and you seen the eye bruise immediately, after that it was Bentley's fight

Surely if Okolie goes in with someone dangerous then he will resort to hugging and holding again ? I'm not sure why Walsh was allowed to get a 12 round beating, he was never going to win and just took too many punches but Noakes should have got it finished early.

Yeah. I was hoping a couple of times for Walsh’s corner to throw the towel in. I felt a couple of times if Noakes had stepped on the gas he could have got Walsh out of there but Noakes didn’t really go for the stoppage. Perhaps concerned about going the 12 rounds.

I'd say more to do with which version of each was in the ring rather than styles

They should have IMO ,
Such a game fighter, but was never in a month of Sundays going to turn that around.
Noakes is a quality operator and Walsh's best years clearly behind him .

Going into survival mode and going 12 rounds when the other guy is in first gear and trying to get rounds in is seen as some tough guy badge of honour. It's pretty stupid. Walsh will probably end up showing the effects of that fight later in life and for what? The actual tough guy badge of honour thing to do would have been actually trying to win by going out on his shield if need be. Staying there and going into survival mode and being carried 12 rounds - I just don't see how thats good for everyone. But Noakes gets hailed as this "mature" operator and Walsh gets credit for his "heart". I've seen fighters showing maturity and still getting stoppages and I've seen guys showing heart by going all out for the win instead of accepting a decision loss and trying to fiddle their way to the distance for some bravado/heart points. I just don't get it. It's not quite quitting in the traditional sense but when you give up and know you can't win and don't go out on your shield trying to win, you've actually shown a lack of heart rather than showing heart in my book.

Did I miss it, or was O'Leary not shown on TV last night?

Read some speculation he might be going over to the Conlans.
