It was a hard night for both men last time, what did take from them? Usyk about to turn 38 too.

Usyk will likely win, but idiots still want more weight divisions. :brick:

Remember when some were saying that a traditional sized HW like Usyk could no longer rule the division in this era of super sized HWs?

He's already won once, but if he wins again, he might just be the saviour of the HW division as we know it.

Whatever happened to EO? The guy who thought Andrew Ruiz would wipe the floor with Ali because he weighed more.

He was all about size, wasn't he?

The greats of yesterday couldn't survive in this era of giants, apparently, particularly Ali.

The irony is, Usyk is about Ali's size, albeit with a few more pounds now and he's doing OK.

There was also another guy who was obsessed with size and felt Wilt Chamberlain had the beating of Ali due to his height and athleticism, whose name I can't remember.

I miss those guys; then often had me doubled up on the floor like a Smash Martian.

I think the legendary writer Graham Houston summed this fight up perfectly in his BN preview 'two of the greats in one of the heavyweights better eras collide".

I've always enjoyed Graham Houston's pieces and I agree with that summing up. The first fight felt like it was a battle between the two best in the World. I have a feeling tonight will be similiar: a bit like Bowe vs Holyfield; their styles just gel together.

Yeah, why bother with the fighting? Just let them step on the scale, and whoever weighs more wins. No reason to fight about it.

Cojimar 1946 has all the hallmarks of EO and his previous incarnations. Not saying it is him, but he's definietly got the same insane logic.

He doesn't really choose Keith. Granted he sometimes looks more out of shape than others. You've heard of morphology, right? He's never going to be an aesthetic god. Calzaghe was about as fit and as a hard working boxer ever. He never had a Greek god physique about him, but it didn't diminish his boxing ability nor endurance of fight.
No, he does choose. He chooses the shape he enters the ring in, just like every other boxer ever. I didn't say he has to look like adonis, but the fat around his middle will not help him. To suggest otherwise is just plain stupid. Do you think Ali would have been better with a load of fat around his middle?
You thick c*nt, I'm saying morphology wise he's blessed with a padded midriff. His choosing is only how much padding. We've all seen Fury come in shape, with vague bicep and abdomen muscularity. Even then he carries a fat roll, particularly round his lower back.
Well, the fat lad got dominated, so maybe, just maybe I'm not the thick one. :maybe:

The fight was close, worthy of a draw after the live scoring. Fury improved or maybe it's Usyk being a bad rematcher.

116-112 this time, from memory, I had Usyk by 1 or 2 rounds last time.

The thing is, both fights were drawish in rounds, but in the first one both fighters were hurt more, especially Fury, thus it was more decisive for Usyk for the first time, when he wobbled Fury around the ring and scored a KD.

Not for me Mr Duke. Punch stats saw the same thing I saw, Usyk clearly winning.

As much as I rate Graham Houston, I really don’t agree this is a great era of Heavyweights.

Agree Mick. This era is definitely one of the better ones.

Until Joe Louis the heavies were bare knuckle men in mitts. Awesome at that but almost a different sport.

Only Ali's era, the Mid 90s and now have been very good heavyweight eras.
