How can an AI judge score on "ring generalmanship"... that"s 25% of each rounds score.

Attack
Defence
Landed/Damage
Control of the ring

Have QUeenbury rules changed to a Saudi scoring system?

I thought Fury fought better than last time. I would have be content with a draw or narrow Uysk win.

He fought more cautiously and focused. And although he wasnt seriously hurt like last time he did worse on the cards

The ai judge saw 2 clear fury rounds, 8 clear usyk and 2 swing/even

That isnt that far out of reality

Uysk deserved it and landed the cleaner punches but pulled a bit of a Leonard-Hagler in certain rounds, coming on late in the rd. Which I’m sure impressed the judges.

Another great win, and another boost to Usyk's career and legacy. Hard to imagine any achievement out there that could boost his career much further to be honest. He's beaten the people that were the guys to beat in the division.

Yeah I saw the similarity of Hagler vs Leonard at some point. The thing is hagler was landing cleaner punches. I personnally had it 115-113 for Fury but by scoring the first 4 rounds to him and they were so close that obviously that can't be right.

It's also reassuring to see that 65% of us here predicted the winner correctly and 34% of us the way it happened.

This clip hasn't aged well at all.

Very silly comments from Fury and massively xenophobic too.

It's almost as if he forgot that the Klitschko brothers existed; plus to decry Eastern European boxers, particularly former Soviet block fighters is totally insane.

I had it a draw.
No knockdowns.
No 10-8 rounds.
Close rounds.
Could argue it both ways.

Sugar needs to go.
He's not aggressive enough, John Fury fired up Tyson during the mid rounds of the 1st fight more than Sugar ever did.
Do Fury v Joshua and the winner gets a 3rd fight with Usyk.
Letting Daniel Dubois loose with a microphone isn't a good idea in a live event, just a note for you promising promoters.

Regardless of who wins between Joshua and Fury I don't think we need to see Usyk beat either of them for a 3rd time.

Thank gawd! That should be the last we see of Furry, eh. Usyk won handily. If the mighty Ukrainian had more power behind his punches the big furball would have been lights out. I thought you might give Lumpy two rounds if you're feeling sorry for him. He was saved from a knockout in the first go-round thanks to an interfering referee.

Oleksandr Usyk is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and easily the very best heavyweight since Lennox Lewis. The others in the division pale by comparison.

do you actualy think each of those things count for an even 25%? ring generalship has never and should never play an equal part in scoring as "landed/damage"....

imagine a world where in a round your using the ring much better and that cancles out the fact that you got rocked 3 times...

and how do you pull apart attack/defence/landed damage...

Boxing judging should be simple, if theres no knockdowns, just keep track of good effective landed punches... and then evaluate who acumulativly dished out the most punishment.

the point of ring generalship i to help you land punches and avoid taking punches, and dictate the cardio element of the fight (which in turn is to help you land punches and avoid taking punches)... it should have next to no reward on its own.

I thought it was pretty clear for Usyk. I had it 117-111. I gave Usyk the first while the judges gave it to Fury, I gave Fury the 9th where the judges gave it to Usyk and I gave Usyk the last which the judges gave to Fury, otherwise I agreed with the judges.

I just don’t think Fury did enough, he was very negative while Usyk never stopped throwing, never stopped trying to push the pace.

The fight was more competitive than the scores show but there was a lot of close but clear rounds in favour of Usyk.

Just watched the fight now, and I had it 116-112 for Usyk.

A few of the rounds were particularly close, but Usyk was always the aggressor, and he seemed able to stop Fury in his tracks with his punches whereas Fury never could seem to do the same. Close fight all the way, but Usyk had the edge for sure.

Just got around to watching it.
116-112 Usyk
There is no reasonable argument for Fury winning this one.
Close rounds don't equal a close score when the same guy keeps winning the rounds.
