For Dave…
If it’s fisher in a 10 rounder I think Dave has a chance (not saying a huge chance and he could just get swarm stopped early).
If it’s Moses I think that’s a very very bad night for Dave. Think Moses is a level above fish.
I guess both fisher and Moses chins are unknown a bit but I doubt there super chinny.

It is a frustrating fight in some ways but he is facing another British opponent so should force his hand in terms of the next fight. I'd imagine a British title final eliminator will be called. You'd imagine Johnny himself will not let his team back him out of a fight vs say Sol Dacres, Dave Adeleye or someone of that ilk for a British title eliminator. By the looks of Moses Itauma's next fight he is trying to get a World ranking sharpish so may not be bothering with British title level just now.

Dacres should be perfect as he lacks power.jameswilson wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 13:02 It is a frustrating fight in some ways but he is facing another British opponent so should force his hand in terms of the next fight. I'm surprised Itauma vs McKean isn't for the Commonwealth belt. It should be as it's exactly the type of fight the belt was made for.jameswilson wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 13:02 It is a frustrating fight in some ways but he is facing another British opponent so should force his hand in terms of the next fight. these days the commonwealth is basically for area level brits to knockover africans or ocassionally to fight each other
i wish it was taken more seriously because there could be a lot of good fights for it across the divisions

why wouldn't you push for the Itauma fight (purely out of interest as a casual here). The bookies will be watching the betting after that dodgy Allen vs Darch fight.

that was suspect wasn't it, he's not fought as a pro boxer since. Moved over into bare knuckle and I saw him recently fighting on that no rules King of the Streets - that is a brutal way to fight. He must really love it. Seems to have his head screwed on, he's a civil engineer so clearly not fighting for money.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑10 Oct 2024, 00:46 The bookies will be watching the betting after that dodgy Allen vs Darch fight.
Any how I hope the best version of Dave (ie. fitness) turns up, I do like Dave (as everyone knows!)

It was clearly a fixed fight in my opinion. I think they were both in on it and bookies wouldn't pay out afterwards because the betting made it too obvious that it was a fixed fight. It was pretty obvious by what happened in the ring also.

You probably won't view the messages in one of the other threads because the title is criticizing your shape for the fightwhiterhino21 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2024, 14:25Rumour is complete nonsense, I would fight anybody but itauma isn’t a fight I been offered or one I be pushing forFloydendizer wrote: ↑07 Oct 2024, 14:09 Rumour is Dave Allen been offered Fisher or Moses itauma both before Christmas & is playing both promotors off for the biggest payday , fair play to him probably his last decent payday .

I think Fisher/Matchroom owe Allen a rematch after what happened last night. The Darch fight wasn't the only fix

Re: what do you serve with fish?
Being nice to Fisher, he showed tremendous heart, fitness and chin.
The biggest problem for me was that he loaded up with every shot, even when exhausted and hurt.
Fair enough to test out Allen's chin early on, but when it was clear nothing was happening, Fisher needed to take walks, stick out some light flicks, steal rounds, then a few flurries towards the end of the round to entuthe crown and keep his opponent honest.
Different story with Babic, good tactics to jump on him,

Re: what do you serve with fish?
Usually when you get these robberies I just shrug my shoulders and think, ah well that’s boxing, but this one has really annoyed me actually. Fisher would have taken some credit in defeat for the way he kept going after the knockdown and was taken into deep water for the first time in his career. He could also have the opportunity to avenge that defeat. Now it’s just a case of he got an absolute gift against Dave Allen.
I hope Allen keeps going after this, if he brings the same mindset to future fights then he could get some domestic honours.

Fisher did get banged right on the ear which really destroys your balance but I was shocked at how easy he got hurt.

Over and over the same way.
And congrats to Dave Allen, he really wanted it, and worked so hard.
