Agreed!

Lennox Lewis wouldn't have had to have a rematch with Tyson Fury nor would anyone would have demanded one.

It's all subjective, C, but I definitely think Tyson F is a bit underrated. I think him and Lennox would have been a very close match with Tyson as slight favourite for me.

Ways to beat Lewis, take him out with one shot or get past the jab, and Lewis wasn't a busy fighter, he liked to offset with the jab and fight at his own pace.

In the first fight, at long range, Fury was good, but was forced to work at an uncomfortable pace, couldn't sustain it and Uysk got to him.

Uysk would struggle with Lewis's jab but eventually get past it and get to him.
I always thought that the size differential with modern day giants would have been too much against the old greats.

Uysk has shown the way

I don't see Usyk getting past Lewis's jab with any sort of regularity, think Lennox would be able to keep him at bay, plus he also carries the firepower to potentially stop Usyk which Fury lacked. Lewis has a lot of tools at his disposal which Fury doesn't - no way does Usyk controls centre ring against him, and Usyk is distinctly worse when on the back foot.

Really? Not about Fury standing a chance because I rate Fury but starting as favourite against Lewis? How? He might have done I don't know but I can't see how he would?

Lewis would fall asleep, get lazy mid-fight, get careless which is all true but it was Lewis just having a jab and nothing else, he had proper KO power as well as well as setting up awkward angles mid round and his overall boxing skill which is how he managed to get his shots off against Holyfield - and I might be in a minority here but I think Holyfield would have been all wrong for Uysk and he would have beaten him and Tua would have seriously tested his chin - would Tua have beaten him? Don't know - did he have a chance? Damn right.

The heavyweight who gave Uysk the most problems was Chisora.

Exactly. :TU:

Another thing about Uysk being an ATG, he is only that if he retires now or he remains unbeaten for what is left of his career because he is 37 now? He hasn't got long left - if he loses between now and that time he packs in, he will be regarded a good champion instead of an ATG and it was all down to Tyson Fury being crap - which he isn't - but his ATG status is heavily reliant on him either getting out now or remaining unbeaten until he retires, can he do it? We'll see. :-?

Mike Tyson beats Usyk. He was different to all those other heavyweights. He was mad fast and dangerous.

Lennox "no man test dis" Lewis. I've got the biggest man crush on Usyk, but as a HW you can't put him above Lewis, no way.

Prime Fury circa Chisora 2 and Wlad time was awesome, big, fit, fast, elusive, confident and smart. Lewis never fought anybody with all those qualities.

Back on Usyk, he is naturally bigger than Holy' and has a better ring IQ. Lennox said the Mercer fight (which should have been a draw) was his hardest but Holy was his best opponent. Lennox had to work very hard twice to come out with a draw and a win, I think he'd found it more difficult against Usyk and lost.

It’s easier to say he’s the best since Lewis and on achievements that is probably true.

However, an injury-free Vitaliti Klitschko would have bested any of the current crop of heavyweights.

Hard to tell, Vitali never beat anyone even as good as Dubois arguably.
