Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
Fury himself is a fan of a soft touch or two b4 a big fight. He’s happy to let fights marinate.

He hasn't. There's loads of non boxing related photos of him looking as happy as I've ever seen him.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 09:08 Joshua has gone into hiding, i'd be surprised if its anyone else but Fury. I'd also be very surprised if they took a warm up unless Fury does too.
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
I really want to know what Efe Ajagbe is all about. In all honesty never seen him fight, but there was a lot of talk about him. Bring him over to Wembley and let's see what AJ can do.

Nah Dubois and Parker aren't names to anyone that's not a Hardcore Boxing fan.KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 03:52Would Dubious vs Parker count?gilgamesh wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 01:39That seems to be the way of the world these days. 2 big names clashing in their prime is a super rarity in Boxing in the modern era. Hell maybe it always was I don't know. I wasn't there to see it![]()
Maybe DDD isn't prime yet, but Parker is, and it's a proper but gifted belt
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
No big names left for Uysk, the biggest name is Jake Paul, then John Fury or Mike Tyson!!!
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
One of them is in my part of the world and the other is the #1 heavyweight in old Blighty. Parker has been around long enough for people to know who he is, and before Maggs dives in- that's not to say they like or want to see him.
But we are at a changing of the guard point in the division.

Perhaps DDD is the biggest, but even if he beats parker, Uysk knocked him out with a jab.
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
He might be in 12 months time. I'm guessing Joshua, Uysk, Fury, Ortiz, Ruiz, Wilder, Zhang, Whyte, Chisora,Joyce and maybe Clarke all retire.Coco wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 14:00We are at the changing of the guard point, but as things stand there are no big names.KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 13:50One of them is in my part of the world and the other is the #1 heavyweight in old Blighty. That opens things up a lot where we may even see someone like Wardley or Torrez Jr with a belt.
Interesting to see how it pans out.

I could see a huge fight down the line for all the gold between Moses and DD:box:KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 18:25He might be in 12 months time. You could have a top 25 of Opetaia, Dubois, Kabayel, Bakole, Parker, Okolie, Wardley, Wallin, Ajagba, Gassiev, Huni, Anderson, Hrgovic, Torrez, Sanchez, Vianello, Aliev, Sirenko, Hughie, Pero, Pero, Yallyev, Itauma, Gurgen and probably Dychko still knocking about.KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 18:25He might be in 12 months time. You could well be right Roy, but I need to see someone put it on Moses before I make a judgement on him. He looks awesome as an offensive banger, but I've seen so many like that come unstuck.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑27 Dec 2024, 06:13I could see a huge fight down the line for all the gold between Moses and DD:box:KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Dec 2024, 18:25He might be in 12 months time. I guess Tyson vs Holyfield is a good example.
Richard Torrez fights in a similar way, but has a wealth of Am experience as well and I have him on my HW prospect list

Solid points Kiwi, Duke Mckenzie made some very good points about Moses in a TalkSport interview in the past day or two, really insightful.KiwiRider wrote: ↑27 Dec 2024, 14:26You could well be right Roy, but I need to see someone put it on Moses before I make a judgement on him. Thanks Sean, I'll check that out
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer on such an exciting prospect, I absolutely love that style he has, it makes for brilliant ( but brief) fights.

No
It's a "Kell Brook/Amir Khan" scenario again where both guys are shitting themselves about losing to the other. It's pathetic.

There will be no one else to fight to generate that sort of money/interest. I mean it’s a way bigger fight than Khan/Brook anyway.
Even if it’s both their last fights.
I do think both Fury and AJ want to become 3 time world champions.
I know Fury wanted to become a 3-time ring magazine champion.

But it should happen in their prime. Not when their careers are over and nobody gives a toss. I didn't even bother watching Khan vs Brook. Both were shot and over the hill and we all know Khan was gonna lose because his already glass jaw was held together with sticky tape.
It was a waste of time. They might as well have not bothered and it doesnt excuse the fact they ducked each other in their prime. It should have happened in 2015--Khan had bounced back after the Garcia loss and Brook had just beat Porter.

Tyson has just lost a competitive fight against the best in the division and AJ is always dangerous and exciting. It's a great match and would do huge numbers.
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
Fans will turn up in their droves to see AJ v Fury.

Some hate Tyson that much they won't acknowledge he pushed Usyk at all. They don't even accept it from Usyk himself!
Re: Will Anthony Joshua fight Fury next or..
Fury is the biggest money fight for AJ no question.
However if Turki puts him on he will earn big v whoever, might even get Wilder!
But saying that, AJ has already earned big, does he want more? Does he really want to fight again?
I'm sure Fast Car is pushing hard to squeeze the last golden pips out of his cash cow.

I think AJ will be up for it. He's an interesting case study psychologically but he's got a pair of bollocks and can dig, so bring it on.Coco wrote: ↑28 Dec 2024, 14:43 Fury is the biggest money fight for AJ no question.
