Darren Till vs Anthony Taylor new Misfits Boxing 20 main event

Darren Till faces Anthony Taylor in the new Misfits Boxing 20 main event at Co-op Live in Manchester, England on January 18. The latter replaced Tommy Fury, who reportedly withdrew due to “kicking and other stupid MMA tactics” he had expected the former UFC fighter to use in a boxing match.

In his final UFC fight in December 2022, Darren Till was submitted by Dricus du Plessis in the third round and suffered his third defeat in a row. This past July, the 32-year-old Liverpool native faced Mohammad Mutie in an exhibition boxing match that ended in a brawl.

In his previous two fights in August, Anthony Taylor defeated Gabriel Silva and Samuel Ericsson via TKO in the third and second round, respectively. Teaming up with Slim Albaher, the 35-year-old native of Alameda, California was also expected to face KSI in a 2 vs. 1 clash, but the contest didn’t go ahead.

Alongside the Till vs. Taylor showdown, Misfits Boxing also confirmed a matchup pitting Wade Plemons against Moziah Pinder aka “Masai Warrior.” As announced at Misfits Boxing 19, Plemons was initially expected to face HS Tikky Tokky, who was scheduled to face Pinder at that event, but the bout fell through.

Other matchups featured on the Misfits Boxing 20 fight card are expected to be confirmed shortly.

This stuff isn't considered boxing. it's a side thing.
It's not gonna go away unfortunately.. But it might make for an even fight.

Hasn't this shite run it's course yet? What's the market for this, who actually wants to pay to see this? I wouldn't be interested if it was free, I'd rather wash the dishes.

Unfortunately for us, it's clear as hell this sh1t makes millions, whether we like it or not.

In fact I bet Sauerland makes more from this than the proper boxing he puts on.

Ty Mitchell vs Tommy Hench is on this too, although for some reason Ty (Clifton Mitchells lad) is listed as making his debut, rather than having finally got his license back.

Was wondering about attendance for this load of old toffee.
Coop Arena holds low 20k and upper levels closed off so reckon about 8k will attend.

I guess we got this tonight.

Consider it non boxing.

As Dan Rafael says, go call your mothers.

Is there any other boxing on? I’ll watch this if not. I usually try to look for a small hall show being streamed

First fight was two fat fellas and one clearly had a knackered shoulder. I’m old so had no idea who either of them were

Second fight was a 45 year old man fight a saggy man who quit.

And one of Hamed’s sons just stopped a 40 year old ill-looking Mongolian in the first round.

I'm coming in for the top of the card - of course it's not "proper boxing" but it's often a lotta fun. :box:

A man who kept spinning around more than Kylie just got stopped after all the spinning made him dislocate his arm. The loser looked the spitting image of The Brain from Pinky and The Brain. Minus the actual brain.

For Misfits I think we should link the fighters to renewable energy efforts as they windmill so much
