Based on Barry Hugman's 'The Definitive History of World Championship Boxing'. I have compiled all of the winners of world championship fights in boxing history (I don't count draws, only fights won). Since I have compiled this information I wanted to share it in case there are any fans who might be interested in the information. These are the boxers who have won at least 10 world title fights.
Just two considerations:
If there is a regular and interim champion, only the regular counts. If there is a super, regular and interim champion, only the super counts.
In the period of fights with no decision, the newspaper decision is counted.

An outstanding body of work. I must admit, it's a bit depressing to see someone like Sven Ottke right next to Muhammad Ali or Chris Eubank next to Sugar Ray Robinson and even Joe Calzaghe with Henry Armstrong, but that's the WBO for you. I spotted only one slight miscount (Hagler).

Thank you, since I started to compile this information I just wanted to share it here in case anyone else might be interested, even if it is just out of curiosity. As I said at the beginning of the post, the information is based on Barry Hugman's encyclopedia. If I find any errors in Hagler or anyone else's, I'll look into them, but I can only imagine where they might come from.
For example, I got 21 for Larry Holmes but it's 20. The discrepancy comes from his fight with Marvin Frazier, although Holmes was the WBC champion at that time, the organization did not validate this fight as a world title (something similar to what happened in the Cacace-Warrington this weekend).
Another example, I got 23 titles for Naoya Inoue but it's 21. When he beat McDonnell and Payano he won the WBA Regular but at that time there is a Superchampion (Nonito Donaire) who is the one who really counts as world champion. After these two victories Inoue beats Donaire and then, yes, the Japanese becomes WBA world champion. In any case, I will look at Hagler's case to see where the discrepancy comes from but I can tell you that Hugman's encyclopedia is very rigorous with its data.
I'm not saying there couldn't be some errors, but the number of world championships for Hagler given here is probably correct.

No, it only counts as one. In fact, what I found most difficult was finding fights with two divisions in play (for example Sugar Ray Leonard-Lalonde was Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight) to tell it only once.
In any case, Barry Hugman is the one who studied the subject in detail, I have only counted the victories and have updated them to the present day strictly following the criteria that he uses (of course he knows much more about boxing than I do)
