A random one but does anyone know what happened to Majidov? I know he had a shock loss when he was 3 and 0 and hasn’t fought since 2021. I remember him fighting Tom Little and winning loads of world champs as an am, just wondered why he didn’t fight on as he had some understandable hype before the loss.

he won a 6 rounder in iba's pro boxing a couple months ago

he had injury issues and busted his leg again in the loss . at his age, with time off for injury and the loss only 4 fights in, id guess he just didnt get the momentum back to resume an active pro career. probably dropped by matchroom too

Thank you very much I didn’t know that. Is the IBA like an alternative pro league? It’s not on Boxrec so is it a bit like the BIBA? Not knocking either

well thats been a very controversial subject for boxrec, some iba fights are included in the fighters regular pro record on boxrec, while others (like this one) are in their own separate iba section. boxrec went months without including some iba fights until finally giving them their own category

it's more like the old world series of boxing than the biba. a lot of top end amateurs from central asia and eastern europe who box in iba 'pro' bouts between amateur events

What's equally as weird is that Fedosov, who KO'd him in the first, was returning from a 3 year lay off. He then hasn't fought again since, 3 years later. Both should have fought on.

So strange! Fedosov should have been involved in some big fights after that. He was a good exciting underrated fighter,

Another one who I've practically gave up on is Ivan Dychko, there's still a tiny hope for him but he seems to be content with being paid to be a sparring partner and fighting once a year. Maybe he's had poor management, promoters.

He was a superb amateur, beat Jalolov 5 times out of 5. What a waste. Hope Turkii gives him a shot on one of his cards.

His leg break looked horrendous and somehow he got up and was trying to carry on for god sake.

Yeah I’ve often wondered how the hell Fedosov never got a fight after that win. Must be some kind of dispute as even if he was being frozen out by American and western promoters he can still fight in Russia.
