For the record I thought the whole ceremony was a little cringey. I watched the hour where they're actually giving Awards, and about 15 minutes of the Red Carpet stuff before that.

The whole thing was pretty phoney and strange. All Awards shows are I guess, but this seemed particularly strange.

On a side issue, just listened to Frank Bruno at the awards ceremony on IFL - he didn't sound well, looked happy but I hope it wasn't the signs of the cognitive impairment that his family were talking about on the Amazon Prime Documentary.

The postage fees are too hefty, but I suspect these will be desirable going forward with low print runs.

Not me, never bought it regularly but when I did it was glossy but out of date. My favourite by far was Boxing Monthly, I do not think the resurrection of Ring will be anything other than a crap Saudi leaflet from the saggy Sheikh.

As a kid in the 1980s a copy of The Ring was like a portal into another world. Results from around the world. Reading about fighters with crazy names like "Livingstone Bramble" and "Marlon Starling" was a headspin.

The quality of the journalism was outstanding too.

In the pre-internet days it was a blast to buy the copies. I think I started buying in about 1983-84. Bought it religiously until the mid 90s.

I loved KO too. They were in deep on Don Curry. Made it twice as sweet when Lloyd beat him.

KO spent a lot of time before Leonard-Halger wishing Leonard was still fighting. World Boxing was another great one. Found one called Boxing Scene as well.

I had the first 50 or so editions of Boxing Monthly. All carefully packed in parents’ loft.
Mysteriously disappeared. Gutted. Still not over it obviously. Those inside back cover ringside girls need to be resurrected (even though they now 65).
