Says Scarff being 9-1 up should've been a factor, that's just his card, I had that score as well but this is British officiating, no doubt Walker was up on 1 card

Flawless from Smith, landed nearly everything he threw, great power, accuracy and variation, Ouizza obviously pony but was a bit tough if anything else, sounds strange considering he got done inside a round but the amount of clean punches he took he done well to stand up to them before finally going down after an onslaught, Smith just pummeled him to the canvas, Ouizza got up then straight away got nailed with a left hook for the finish, poor opponent but European title along with the British and Commonwealth, he's really a good young British fighter Dalton

That was an embarrassment. Who decided he could fight for a European title?

Just seemed a waste of everyone’s time.

No one cared that Dalton was fighting, it wasn’t in his home town, his own promoter wasn’t there & he’s inactive.

Ray Moylette was a better opponent than that 3 years ago.

We need to see better.

EBU title not looking stellar with that opponent but an impressive win on paper for Dalton

Ouizza's never been stopped and has some decent wins on his record. Smith was pure class in there tonight.

Boxing's daft

Everyone wants to see Dalton fight Adam Azim but we'll never get it or only get it when it's too late. Instead we'll get fobbed off with watching them win irrelevant belts that nobody gives a f4ck about

I agree, was not dragging down Dalton, but only 9 of Ouizza's 22 opponents had winning records, he is objectively a very, very weak EBU champion. He is utterly crap if we seek to assess an opponent's abilities on a world level.

No promoter is throwing a 22 year old prospect in with a far more experienced, unbeaten, world class amateur so Hearn needs to forget about that for a while.

Dazn have loads of good fighters in the 140 division that they can put Smith in with. They need to get on with it.

I'm no expert a force but wouldn't smith v azim have echoes of de gale v groves ? it didn't do their careers any harm clashing at a relatively early stage

I don’t think so because Dalton’s far more experienced & a lot older.

DeGale & Groves were about the same age & had similar levels of experience & were natural rivals from the same part of London.

I don't agree with the forum so much as Bellew

It wasn't a great stoppage for me, not for a LLB with a big lead especially.
Hurt obviously and didn't complain, but I'd like to have seen if he could have regained his shape..

Great stuff from Dalton - not his fault the oppo was crap. He realised very quickly and took him out.
Of course we want to see him in a fight he could lose..
