Agree. RND 6 was strong for Benny. Morrell needs to get Benny moving backwards to have success

6-2 Benny after 8. Benny is off balance on his offence and could get flatlined by a big left cross.

8-2 Benny thru 10.

Morrell needs more RNDs as pro to complete at this level.

Fun fight. Morrell would do better in a rematch.

The point deduction was bs.

Canelo would beat Benny. Benny doesn’t fight well enough moving backwards.

As you'd expect really - Morrell defo had the skills, but not quite the pro experience/hardness/pacing to win.
Great stuff from both. :salut:

Really enjoyed that card. Fantastic from Pitbull & Fierro.

Morrell started well. I gave him 3 of the first 4 rounds but then Benavidez swept the rest other than the flash knockdown. Also scored it 115-111.

As for what's next for him, if Bivol wins the rematch (I actually had him winning the 1st bout) then there'll be a 3rd. Maybe he can meet the winner of Buatsi Smith on that undercard (a lot of forward thinking there :D )

Ramos looked good. 154 has a lot of good fights to be made.

Cuello showed a lot of heart.

Figueroa looked lost.

Very good fight. Props to both fighters for fighting each other in their primes. They could have a second one as the 1st was a good fight. :TU: :box:

Excellent show , really enjoyed the Cruz fight , the main event was a cracker , no doubt who the winner was , but i'd like to see a rematch , both can go up and beat Opetai

Huge call going and beating opetia Not sure I believe it… I do think he could be a cruiser one day, but my guess is opetia is a heavy by then…

Don’t think the rematch makes sense yet. But in a couple of years I’d like to see that…

Bena should fight for a 175 belt next. (Bivol, Bert, or buatsi/smith winner)…

Morell should drop back a level and get 3 quick wins (march, sep, December) then get right back in the hunt for belts… im always a big fan of quickly burying a loss a bit like Parker after the Joyce loss.

They were playing fast and loose with the `unification' claim
