I hate to make a prediction. Every time I write off Chisora he pulls an upset.

I just don’t think Otto will be able to hold Chrissy off. Which feels like a wild prediction. Chis by ko or a multi knockdown points win where he looks dead for the last couple rounds but keeps going…

same here - he was meant to be finished after the Dillian fight in 2018, so I think any predictions involving Chisora are pointless!tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Feb 2025, 23:48 I hate to make a prediction. Every time I write off Chisora he pulls an upset.

Win or lose, surely he will have his 50th fight after this.

Chisora to win by KO/stoppage - Wallin looked fragile as an egg against AJ. it's a safe fight I reckon for Chisora as Wallin probably won't be able to hurt him. Can't believe Wallin went 12 rounds with Fury!

Gosh, I'm trying to be double
Re: Derek Chisora vs. Otto Wallin | TNT Sports - 8 February 2025
Sometimes he gets in the ring and tries really hard, and sometimes he just tries not to get knocked out.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Feb 2025, 23:48 I hate to make a prediction. Every time I write off Chisora he pulls an upset.
It's actually quite annoying
Re: Derek Chisora vs. Otto Wallin | TNT Sports - 8 February 2025
I though he looked done vs Gerald Washington. Then follows up with one of the better wins of his career vs Joyce.KiwiRider wrote: ↑02 Feb 2025, 13:23Sometimes he gets in the ring and tries really hard, and sometimes he just tries not to get knocked out.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Feb 2025, 23:48 I hate to make a prediction. i think chisora is underappreciated by hardcore fans, he fights absolutely everybody and has taken some serious beatings but always tries to hang in there. he keeps coming back because he keeps either giving guys a hell of a fight or scoring wins enough to stay relevant.
he gets some mockery over having 13 losses, but how many fighters wouldnt have loads of losses vs his quality of opposition? it would be just a couple around. could easily have some extra wins in there too

not really, but people say they want guys to fight tough opponents and that big deal about protecting records, yet then mock chisora for having a bunch of losses (many of them very competitive) to mostly top opposition

Queensberry just put this out.
Unfortunately,
@willyhutchinso
suffered an injury during sparring, which resulted in a dislocation and tear to his left shoulder, meaning he has had to withdraw from his upcoming bout with Zach Parker.
Willy will now undergo an MRI scan this week to determine the extent of the injury, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.
Queensberry will work with Zach and his team to find an opponent to allow him to stay on this Saturday’s card at the Co-Op Live on 8th February.

Re: Derek Chisora vs. Otto Wallin | TNT Sports - 8 February 2025
Yes, I think it is a good fight for that reason it will tell us a bit more about both guys. Chisora was never the explosive power / strength of Joshua who simply manhandled and out sized Wallin. Likewise, I cannot help but think that Joyce flattered the Chisora mark 2024. He (Chisora) looked absolutely gassed by the half way stage - something we don't often see from him and I am quite surprised that so many completely agreed with the judges. I mean it was razor tight and I do not say Joyce won - but I think I've seen more guys think Fury beat Usyk, than think Joyce beat Chisora. I certainly would have had Joyce winning if it wasn't for the KD. I don't think Wallin's chin is that bad that he will crumble like Joyce mark 2024 did vs Chisora.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 Feb 2025, 12:23 How good really is Otto? Joyce vs Chisora was a great fight, but it was also a poor fight as they both looked awful but that made it compelling. I think Chisora will tell us something about Wallin when not faced with a significantly bigger guy with a punch and Wallin will tell us something about Chisora when not facing a shot fighter.
On paper though I would say it is a step back (quite a few step backs) from Joyce, who might well have still be in the top ten then night he fought Derek.

He dealt with Gassiev quite well but again, it's unknown what level Gassiev is at heavyweight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 Feb 2025, 12:23 How good really is Otto? He’s barely fought fringe level he’s..

But just as you said, Gassiev is barely active and not particularly ranked at HW.

Re: Derek Chisora vs. Otto Wallin | TNT Sports - 8 February 2025
IBF have only gone and sanctioned this as an eliminator.
Re: Derek Chisora vs. Otto Wallin | TNT Sports - 8 February 2025
Chisora/Wallin winner
Vs
Bakole/Ajagba winner
Winner of these vs Dubois/Parker winner
A decent set of fights from the IBF for once. Especially as they can't get Usyk, Fury, Joshua, Parker, Zhang and Kabayel involved in their eliminators at the moment.
