Ben Crocker vs Tiernan Bradley
Pitters challenges Dos Santos for his European light heavyweight title in Sheffield this Friday on DAZN, surprised Dos Santos managed to pick up the European he looked hopeless against Buatsi before getting absolutely iced
Pitters a domestic level boxer but he's tall, gangly and awkward as hell, can see him fiddling his way to a decision if I'm honest, especially at home

Re: Daniel Dos Santos vs Shakan Pitters
Pitters was weak in his loses. Not sure he can come back
Re: Daniel Dos Santos vs Shakan Pitters
It was pretty early in Dos Santos's career when he fought Buatsi - that was a ten-rounder he took having never gone beyond six before, so may just have been a worthwhile risk for the purse. Dos Santos has since won in Germany over 12, obviously not easy to do, so is likely to have a lot more about him now than he did against Buatsi. Shakan is a good guy and I hope he does well, but Dos Santos is favourite for me.handsofstone wrote: ↑03 Feb 2025, 18:35 Pitters challenges Dos Santos for his European light heavyweight title in Sheffield this Friday on DAZN, surprised Dos Santos managed to pick up the European he looked hopeless against Buatsi before getting absolutely iced

Do you think they have paid Dos Santos well to travel here to defend his belt?

The fight is off, Dos Santos is out, being replaced by Lee Ingelrest, according to Boxing News.

Wonder if they'll keep the card, you've often seen broadcasters drop them if they main event falls through

hope it stays I do enjoy Dazn Friday night cards as I subscribe to Dazn so don't have to faff with fishing
Re: Daniel Dos Santos vs Shakan Pitters
Goodness, Shakan has fallen on his feet with this one (assuming that Boxrec is correct in listing it as still for the now-vacant full EBU title). Ingelrest has only beaten three men with a winning record, has never gone past eight rounds, and has never fought outside Belgium. Not sure if we are quite in John van Elteren / Georges Warusfel territory here, but it is rare that a boxer gets this good a chance to win a major belt. Best wishes to Shakan.

Re: Daniel Dos Santos vs Shakan Pitters
Pitters replacement couldn't make boards check weight so fights off , Thompson now topping bill
Re: Daniel Dos Santos vs Shakan Pitters
Boo hiss! That is a shame for Shakan. Hope he gets his shot rescheduled soon.handsofstone wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 11:01 Pitters replacement couldn't make boards check weight so fights off , Thompson now topping bill

Re: Shakiel Thompson vs David Benitez
this has been a really good card. Good to see Mould fighting (Reece not damp), that farmer from Donny got a good stoppage and Nadeem the Afghan-Yorkshire got a really good stoppage, very fan-friendly style. Pitters up next, lost his dad 3 weeks ago so fair play for getting in the ring.

Shakiel fight funny, had a low blow on his opponent who made a meal of it then after pretended he was hit on back of the head
