Halfway Through the 2020's Decade, Who's the Decade Greatest Fighter?

Post by elmersalsa »

These in my view, were the greatest boxers pound per tof each decade:
1880s: Peter Jackson (US Virgin Islands)
1890s: Bob Fitzsimmons (England/Australia)
1900s: Sam Langford (Canada)
1910s: Jimmy Wilde (Wales)
1920s: Harry Greb (USA)
1930s: Henry Armstrong (USA)
1940s: Willie Pep (USA)
1950s: Sugar Ray Robinson (USA)
1960s: Muhammad Ali (USA)
1970s: Roberto Duran (Panama)
1980s: Sugar Ray Leonard (USA)
1990s: Pernell Whitaker (USA)
2000s: Manny Pacquiao (Philippines)
2010s: Floyd Mayweather Jr (USA)
2020s:???????

But halfway through this decade, who is the greatest pound per pound boxer?

He has beaten almost everybody at SMW, but failed to conquer LHW, so at p4p sense he clearly isn't a leader.

Usyk, and the gap between him and #2 is a mile wide in my opinion.

If Crawford beats Canelo he will have narrowed that gap significantly, and possibly even bridged it. If he doesn't. He never will.

As it stands right now with Crawford still not having fought Canelo. Usyk ranks above him by a lot.

It's going to happen the same thing that happened to his country man Fighting Harada. He got to fight out of Japan.

That's why Manny Pacquiao is rated. He came to America and fought the very best.

I'd rate him the same regardless of where he fights, but that's just me.
