Oh and Sean McComb won every round against Barboza, which certainly bodes well for Jack stylistically

I've always had a soft spot for Bellotti, he's seldom in a dull fight, him and Gomez Jr will be fight of the night

A lot of those guys with Matchroom that turned pro around that time.
Some didn’t get past British level.

I reckon he's got a European title in him, depends on the opponent mindRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑14 Feb 2025, 16:07He got fast fast tracked..handsofstone wrote: ↑14 Feb 2025, 15:58 I've always had a soft spot for Bellotti, he's seldom in a dull fight, him and Gomez Jr will be fight of the night

This fight has got stinker written all over it. Neither have stopped a man for over 5 years
Could surprise us though it's likely to be a slow paced chess match.
Catterall is a lovely boxer but his style is not for the casual.
His 2nd fight with Taylor was a cracker but apart from that I can't recall any others that I've particularly enjoyed

Agreed, Barboza Jr is far from fan-friendly in terms of style either so I don’t expect a classic, but I think Jack will have enough to take a fairly cagey decision win tonight.forcefraser wrote: ↑15 Feb 2025, 07:19.

Catterall always fast starter, he's not a noted puncher but he's put a lot of people on their arse, he just doesn't get bothered about getting rid of the them

told ya so, sean mccomb is f@cking 6 inches taller than cat..... half a foot! him running around at long range all night vs barboza is a total different dynamic than barboza fighting a guy shorter than himself

didnt score tbh, but impression was it was super close and could go either way. prob lean towards barboza for being more positive (though id have to score round by round to really be sure of my card), but did expect cat to get the decision at the end

They could have called the knockdown
While it wasn't hurtful, the punch landing caused him to go down
Seen worse decisions

Who was more effective
Re: Arnold Barboza vs. Jack Catterall | DAZN - 15 February 2025
This humble pie tastes lovely thanks Maggie. Glad I never bet now. I was smashed and barely watching in the end, remember thinking it looked weird and close.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑15 Feb 2025, 19:10 told ya so, sean mccomb is f@cking 6 inches taller than cat..... half a foot! him running around at long range all night vs barboza is a total different dynamic than barboza fighting a guy shorter than himself

This could have been a draw.
