They both had fightweek pull-outs. One took a comparatively much much harder replacement than the other.

It would seem both Bakole and Okolie were up for the fight and Joe chose Martin. Given he has sparred both, it's perhaps indicative of how good Okolie could be at heavyweight?

Possibly wants revenge for getting KO'd in sparring by big Marty.

Nothing as far as I know. Spencer Brown explained the situation.

I'd have preferred Okolie as a replacement as he's likely to be in better shape

I never thought I'd hear myself saying it but I think I'd have preferred Okolie as well.

Oh. I don't really see how that makes Shakur look bad. Hardly his fault.

Perhaps and I agree he's no coward but he's also not a fool. He and his team will have made a considered decision. Both options are banana skins. Turki wanted Joyce but FW may (I don't know) have vetoed that so as not to jeopardise his show next week.

Bakole is a great replacement but Bakole doesn’t have to make weight.

Not sure how many top tier lightweights would have been sat around ready to make weight on two days notice.

Have they said Stevenson turned anyone down?

Ceremonial weigh ins are weird to say the least. No real drama. No chance to see just how drawn and hard work the cut was.

Probably a market for Kabayal banging Zhang and vice versa but it's a bit specialist for my tastes...
