Madrimov is just too negative here, clearly behind IMO

When Ortiz steps it up Madrimov can’t match him.

Ortiz dominant in Round 9

86-85 Ortiz with the momentum now strongly in his favor.

It’s a welcome change of tac from Madrimov but he’s gone a bit Josh Warrington here.

Who beats him?
Uysk for sure, maybe DDD, and Parker would be a pickem.
I'd have Dubois quitting, Parker out worked and I'm not sure usyk beats him!
Gosh your sold on him. :salut:
I've really wanted to see him against Parker because both are high volume guys and I bet it would be an all action affair.
I think DDD would have some success because Kab ain't super defensive.
Uysk would have his number.

anyone would be knackered with all that skipping and dancercise he's been doing, let alone all the body punches from Ortiz

This fight got fun all of the sudden in the 9th. Madrimov can't hang with Ortiz in a firefight, but it's fun watching him try.

96-94 Ortiz

Tactical chess match through 8, but now Ortiz has won out, and has drawn Madrimov into a slugfest.

Ortiz is class fair play.

Madrimov did give him a lot of respect early with that weird side to side movement.

This fight is getting close actually.
Last round could be crucial.

If Madrimov had stood his ground like this at the start we might have got the fight some of us were expecting.

Strange fight and tough to score.
Should be a close win for Ortiz, though.

116-112 Ortiz

I think he took over down the stretch. Madrimov stayed in there all the while, but the cleaner work kept coming from Ortiz down the stretch. The scorecards could vary here some, but I think Ortiz deserves it.

Ortiz comfortable for me, without scoring 116-112 is about as close as I can see, Madrimov took too long to get going and even then he was dirty, should've had points off

I think the ref really didn’t want to potentially create a pivotal moment there by taking a point off.

Didn’t matter anyway, UD for Ortiz.

Thought Ortiz did enough.

117-111, 115-113 and 115-113. Career-best win for Ortiz
