Biggest ko

Post by Expug »

Inspired by the Frazier- Ellis discussion in mythical fights. I’m curious to hear of some of the biggest one punch knockout some of you have seen. I’ll start it off with a fight I saw while competing in the 1978 golden gloves. I was fighting in the 147 pound division and the middleweight contender I’m sure a lot of you have heard of John Collins was fighting at 156. pounds. Obviously still in the amateurs. He hit his opponent with that right hand of his and it remains the most devastating knockout I’ve ever seen. The guys mouthpiece went about ten rows back. Later on “ Jackie” became a contender in the pros. So , list some big one punch knockouts. Doesn’t have to be big names

There are some brutal kos that I can't recall if were one-punch kos or not.
Weaver's left hook on Tate was devastating.

Wayne Alexander vs Mehrdud Takaloo about 20 years ago is one of the most memorable I've seen in a British ring

Jackson vs Graham is an obvious one. 80s/90s 140lber Pat Barret also had a number of huge KOs all left hooks.
