What a shitshow

Crocker knew what he'd done. Stayed down for the DQ

MCdonald strikes again

Poor Donovan. Better fighter by a country mile

persistent fouling ....... he deserve the dq

crocker only went down i thought because his eye / cheek was so badly injured from the repeated butts and elbows that he couldnt stand the pain

Donovan clearly superior, but he surely isn’t an innocent victim here.

Whether you agree or not with the heat he was getting from the ref, he had warning after warning.

Yes it definitely looked like pain rather than being rocked.

The punch was definitely late. Crocker was putting his head in as well

Hopefully a rematch. Clearly a Gulf between them for me. Donovan could fight at top level, Crocker couldn't. My opinion at least

How late was the punch after the bell ?

Good scrap though and hopefully we'll see it again .

I've never seen a fight that McDonald refs where he doesn't give someone heat

Donovan had been fighting dirty the whole fight, so I can't feel too bad for him, but he was well ahead, and it is a shame for it to have ended that way for him.

Lewis Crocker was kinda looking for the ref's help throughout the fight which I found annoying, but he had his share of success in some rounds. I don't think he could've won this fight without the referee's help though.

To be clear though. Donovan had committed several fouls. The point deductions were valid, and the last shot was well after the bell. So he's not excused for his actions, and he's got this loss on his record to thank for them.

Ding. 1 second. 1-2.

Long enough of a gap, that the bell sounding was clear or should've been.

That win must feel real hollow for Crocker. He knows who the better fighter is

I actually don’t think there is much point in the rematch. It was going to take a lot more than a late upping of tempo from Crocker, to get the better of Paddy.

You could easily see head clashes happening again second time around.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m on the refs side. You can’t just ignore repeated warnings like that. He was using his head, was using his elbow and was hitting after the bell.

Sometimes a fighters reputation for being tough or chinny will affect a ref’s decision on stoppages. This time it was a ref’s reputation for whinging that made a fighter decide to carry on taking the piss.

Crocker was using his head as much as Donovan.

Like Bellew said, where was the ref to separate them on the bell? Shite referring. Donovan is a good operator.

Not a fan of that ending at all. Crocker was out-thought and out-fought.

As soon as there is even a hint of a clash of heads in the rematch, it’ll be the start of more drama that nobody wants.

I say bin that fight off.
