I dare anyone to call these fights dull

Some good calls, add Guillermo Jones V Wayne Braithwaite as well, that was a good scrap.

surely, to 'hold his own' with a campaigner as experienced as Deleon was a MAJOR achievement that clearly set the path toward solid wins over Carl Thompson, Ezra Sellers & Marcello Dominguez

It'll be hard to find I reckon. I can't imagine anybody keeping it. Basically it was 12 rounds of Nelson dancing and holding without throwing a punch, and DeLeon fainting and rolling his shoulders a lot without throwing a punch. I've seen better fights at weddings.

I know I've embarrassed myself basing opinions on records before. There really is no substitute for seeing the fights, but it's not always easy to do so.

Nelson should vacate the title and give it to Maccarinelli who should fight this russian called Grigory Drodz (25-20 KOS) unbeaten, ranked no 3 by the WBO, could be a big punching classic.

Also I would love to see Kevin Mitchell vs Alex Arthur, both keep on fighting these european bums-time to eliminate one. I think Arthur would KO the well overated Mitchell.

Nicky Cook ? I thought he was number 1 for WBC!!! He should fight Scott Harrison, brilliant fight will tell us who is proper world class.

Can't wait for Hunter's big chance for the IBF title against Molitar, I think he beats Molitar. Watch Molitar couple of years back beating Nicky Booth ( the less talented of the Booth brothers ) on points. Good fighter but not the biggest puncher so great fight.

I can't resist a challenge..... Right, any insomniacs kept hold of a copy of the classic Nelson-DeLeon fight? I have to see this now, the warnings of Flump, Nick and Andy Mac have only encouraged me. Seriously, I've seen some terrible fights in my time, so this 'classic' encounter will have to go some to beat them. Sadly, I feel it can do, if opinions are to be believed.

I know I'm asking for trouble, but I'm really intrigued by just how bad this fight is.

I haven't seen it either, but I'm pretty sure it can't top a number of old Heavyweight Explosions on Eurosport.

I feel really sorry for Enzo. How many times has Nelson messed him about?I was pretty sure he'd pull out again. Even if the fight took place Nelson would have been on the run since round 1,stinkin out the joint!
We all criticise Calzaghe,Vitali etc for pulling out but Nelson seems to get praise???
I dont even like Nelson as a commentator he seems to intimidate other analysts.See the way he was sat next to Witter taking up all the space!

Enzo is much better for Brit boxing as champ than Nelson ever was!

At the very least Enzo will fight more than once a year as Nelson has been doing at the tail end of his career. Which means more high profile ITV fights, something Warren is desperately short of in his stable.
