Think you're overrated Adeleye quite a bit there.
Perhaps. We'll see how they both get on over the next couple of fights.

DILLIAN WHYTE OUT OF JOE JOYCE FIGHT, REPLACEMENT BEING SOUGHT FOR APR. 5 DAZN SHOW

Dillian Whyte is out of his April 5 heavyweight clash against Joe Joyce after suffering an injury in training camp.

The pair were due to headline Queensberry Promotions' first ever show on DAZN at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester in a few weeks' time.

An injury to Whyte has forced him out of the bout, however. Talksport were first to report the news.

Replacement options are now being sought for Joyce, who hasn't been in the ring since his defeat to Derek Chisora last summer.

Joyce was supposed to fight this past weekend down in Bournemouth on the Ryan Garner-Salvador Jimenez show against Patrick Korte but pulled out on fight week, presumably in an effort to not risk injury before fighting Whyte.

The April 5 bill, dubbed 'Heavy Impact' features two other big heavyweight fights including Lawrence Okolie vs Richard Riakporhe and David Adeleye vs Jeamie TKV.

Whyte hasn't been involved in a TV fight since his win over Jermaine Franklin in November 2022. In August 2023 he was supposed to rematch Anthony Joshua but the clash was pulled after the Body Snatcher failed a drug test.

Since then, he has fought Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh in low-level comeback fights, with the latter taking place in Gibraltar at the end of 2024.

Before the Chisora fight, Joyce had picked up a win before Kash Ali following two knockout defeats to Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang.

I have absolutely no idea why Whyte is favoured to win.

Oh dear. I'm far too cynical to ever take these things at face value.

Joyce will still fight.

Probably will be bumped to co feature with Okolie taking the main event spot.

Depends who they get Joyce I suppose.

Shame, I was looking forward to it.

Whyte always tries when it’s a serious fight.

HW’s are a blast most of the time as well.

You can already see Frank's post fight comments "this is the man that Joshua beat for the world title and Moses has just done the same as Joshua did at 26 and 16 fights by Itauma in 12 fights at 20 years old"
 I still don’t mind the fight

My guess is that Whyte hasnt been allowed a BBBC licence (last show was in Gibraltar remember because of this)

Joyce v Allen would be Ok

But im hearing Hrgovic has been drafted in as a replacement. If he has then this is a much tougher fight for Joyce than the lumbering Whyte.

Hrg will be far too much for JJ at this stage in his career.
Not sure what he's thinking here .

Hirgovic would be a massive step up. Think people have forgotten that he was beating Dubois until the stoppage and most were dissapointed in hirgovic.

Given what Dubois has done since, Hirgovics stock has probably risen because of the defeat
