John "The Beast" Mugabi would have been too strong for Jose "Mantequilla" Napoles. Mantequilla was a Jr welterweight or Lightweight at best. At 154lbs, it would be too much for him.

I'd take a welter Naploes over Mugabi-despite the weight disparity. If we're talking the Napoles who lost to Monzon, its a much tougher bout for Jose and, very likely, a loss.

Nápoles UD, something like 9-6 or 10-5. Mugabi was much stronger but a prime Napoles would have slapped him around plenty. Mugabi was fun to watch but his great performance vs Hagler flatters his career.
