15/Hwy, who wins circa 1973?

Foreman wins. Bugner might survive because he's tough and he's got skills but 73 Foreman may well stop him. Otherwise unanimous PTS.

To me, a more interesting match up is Foreman v Bugner circa 77 when they were meant to fight only Foreman lost to Young and Bugner fought Lyle instead. That's a closer fight.

Either Foreman takes a decision or stop Bugner late as Bugner was durable.

Certainly possible. I would favor George, but Bugner was actually bigger than George, had a good chin and was pretty good at tying up. I could see George dominating the early rounds before running out of gas and hanging on in the later rounds.

George Foreman by decision. Joe Bugner would be in survival mode.

LOL. Hard to argue with that. Of course if he survived George could run out of gas late.

Joe Bugner was a good boxer, but not in the level of Jimmy Young.

Agreed. But Bugner was strong enough to clinch and frustrate George, and possibly take him deep. Peralta wasn't as slick as Young either (who was?) but he still took George deep twice.

I'd still favor Foreman, but if Bugner could get into the 2nd half of the fight he could have won.
