Actually Briscoe did beat Benton. He also held Monzon to a draw and had a very deep resume.

I'd take Briscoe by close UD.

Interestingly, the great Luis Manuel Rodriguez beat BOTH of them twice! You look at El Feo's resume and it's an impressive one. I know that you can't fight everybody, but he fought the very cream of the crop in the 1960s decade. Wow!
