Guess it depends on what weight classes we are talking about; most of his career he was bigger than these guys. Langford would have won most the of the time against all of them. He was that good.

He would have win some and lose some. Those guys were some terrific fighters in that Black Murderers Row.
Well, the great Sam Langford proved that in the first Black Murderers Row of Harry Wills, Jack Johnson, Joe Jeannette, Sam McVay, Joe Gans, Barbados Joe Walcott and other great black fighters in holding his own against most of them.
Willis of that group was the one that beat him more often than not because he was bigger, younger, stronger, taller and in his complete prime while Langford was in decline.
Of all that, there wasn't a better fighter than Langford in the 1900s and early 1910s decade. There was none!
