Yeah, I mean, you COULD defo give the boxing match to Edwards, but THE FIGHT was appalling.

It's the entertainment business and that has to be part of the judging.
Cain came to give the fans a fight and Charlie was evil poison.

Draw

114-114

Edwards did just enough to eke out those last 3 rounds, and it wound up being even on my card. So neither man wins in an atrocious fight is how I see it.

I really couldn't care less if I never see Edwards fight again.

This fight reminded me a lot of Ricardo Mayorga vs Cory Spinks back in the day where one guy is just doing nothing but avoiding the fight, and the chaser can't do much about it.

I had it a draw, but if somebody deserved it, it was Cain. That was a pathetic effort from both men.

Cain deserved this, Edwards ran more than Mo Farah. Edwards must understand surely at 32 that those tactics are about as popular as Sid Cooke outside a primary school

Charlie could easily have won that - when he was made to stand and fight he wasn't bad, but the optics were terrible.

He literally ran away for 9 rounds.

You can't really blame Cain ?

Yes, he coulda shoulda cut the round off better, invested in the body etc. but he came to fight and came forward throwing.

116-113 Cain bit who tf knows, barely a meaningful punch landed by either man on 12 rounds, ive no idea what Edwards was playing at, listen I can't fault his footwork or defence, his lateral movement for 12 rounds was great, at no point did Cain pin him on the ropes, don't think he even tied him up once, Edwards just offered fk all offensively apart from last couple rounds and even that was slim pickings, Cain didn't land much either, he just pressed and won a lot of rounds by partially blocked shots, Edwards can't be not throwing and expect to win fights, terrible fight, Im disappointed in Cain not finding some sort of inroads but when you've got a quick defensive minded guy leaving no openings it's very tough indeed

If Farag can hold him off, this could be really interesting. I'm amazed the Terrier isn't a ticket seller in 'pool.

handsofstone wrote: 15 Mar 2025, 10:10 Seen the running order, they've got Cain/Edwards on before Turner/Farrag, weird again from whoever does Frank's setlist, Cain's defending his British and Commonwealth straps plus it's a better fight, odd

Though he was in serious trouble from the way he froze after getting clipped on the ropes but thankfully Farrag looks ok, Turner can bang.

Jack Turner's fight was better within 30 seconds than the previous one had been through the whole damn fight

Excellent performance. I look forward to seeing more of this kid. He can crack.
