Teremoana v Singh

Post by ninetypercent »

This is a really bad joke. Eddie Hearn has to be tacking the piss. There's at least ten better Heavyweights in Australia. Singh has five losses and all ko's. How do they hope to keep Teramoana motivated with the total cans there asking him to kick.
Please give him someone ranked in the top one hundred and let his actual career start to grow. Not just hype.

One hopes that James Singh is no relation to that dud of duds from yesteryear, the legendary Rohit aka Nohit Singh.

Couldn't agree more, opponent was listed as TBA for long time. I was massively let down when it updated to Singh.

As expected, Queensland heavyweight Teremoana Jr absolutely battered his overmatched opponent, James Singh, forcing the stoppage with 47 seconds left in the first round.

Teremoana hit Singh at will, dropping him midway through the round with a relentless barrage then forced the fight to be stopped to save Singh from getting hurt.

Seriously promoters, Teremoana does not need such mismatches in future, but some action against better credentialed opposition.

i have thought about this fight a lot lately. The matchmaker surely must have some sort duty of care here. Too many guys risk getting hurt in this situation and there must be some recourse for them, sure they accepted the fight but an independant authority should be able to veto this.
Boxing , after all, is a workplace and these things should not be allowed.

terry is a beast but needs to step up the opposition, whitfield is a former super middle who only puffed up to heavyweight during his last prison stint

he himself said he wants much better opponents

We need something better than two old football players fighting as heavyweights. Gallen v Williams? Who cares?!
