Roberto Duran wins the first fight. Nigel Benn wins the rematch and rubber match.
The weight class is too much for Duran to handle.

Well, in that case, how does he win the first one?elmersalsa wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 11:58 Roberto Duran wins the first fight. Nigel Benn wins the rematch and rubber match.

He was better skilled than Nigel Benn. But, at those weight classes from 154lbs and above, Roberto Duran was inconsistent. You don't know what Duran was coming out to fight.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 13:07Well, in that case, how does he win the first one?elmersalsa wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 11:58 Roberto Duran wins the first fight. At welterweight and below, Duran whups Nigel Benn every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
At Middleweight, it's a different story. If Duran is motivated, and in great shape, he wins. Like I have said. He was better skilled.
But, can he continue the bumrush? At that age and time, not.
He beat Iran "The Blade" Barkley in a war. Barkley asks for a rematch and he beats Duran.
