Have not seen anyone say that Galento would beat anyone.
However, I think I finally agree with about one thing. I also think that people who argue that man didn't land on the moon are total idiots.

What's Pakjic's best win?elmersalsa wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 17:31No, but at 5'7" and 233lbs, beats all of today's giants. I am having a laugh of my this. This is like the Moon Landing arguments.Cojimar 1946 wrote: ↑28 Mar 2025, 17:39 Galento has numerous losses to guys who are light heavyweights by todays standards. It seems doubtful he would be a top contender today

It doesn't matter what was his best win. He is a true heavyweight boxer. He trained as an amateur. Fought in the amateurs. Fought in the professional ranks. And have the perfect height and weight for a heavyweight.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 20:31What's Pakjic's best win?elmersalsa wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 17:31No, but at 5'7" and 233lbs, beats all of today's giants. Two Ton Tony Galento wasn't a real boxer. Let alone a real heavyweight. He had no talent. He was talentless. He took on boxing to feed himself and his family. He was an ice block carrier. Too short, too fat for his weight, a stiff and a big hot dog eater that dranked too many beers in bars. He was not a conditioned athlete like Neven Pakjic. He never took boxing seriously.
How much Pakjic weighed in? 238lbs! Any heavyweight that weighs that much should hit hard. And he was 6'3" tall. Compared to 5'7", 233lbs Galento? That's murder!
It would be a fight of a real professional big heavyweight against a beer drinker at best. Because that's the only thing that Galento beats Pakjic. He would beat him in a hot dog eating and beer drinking contest. I will put my money on Galento in that contest. Not in a boxing ring.
And this guy dropped Joe Louis?

How about Chuck Gardner, does he beat Galento?elmersalsa wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 17:07It doesn't matter what was his best win. He is a true heavyweight boxer. He trained as an amateur. Who is Chuck Gardner? I don't know and I don't care. If he is a talented heavyweight of today's heavyweight boxing, then Two Ton Tony Galento ain't got a shot.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 17:18How about Chuck Gardner, does he beat Galento?elmersalsa wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 17:07It doesn't matter what was his best win. The ONLY way Galento beats Gardner, if Gardner is a real heavyweight, is that Garner is a stiff like Abe Simon.
A lot of heavyweights today are stiffs. What was then is now, and what is now, was then. No doubt about that.
But, a decent heavyweight boxer, he doesn't have to be a contender, is not going to be dropped by Two Ton Tony Galento.
