Talented fella, but really struggled after boxing

Good body puncher. He gave Colin McMillan a real fight in the ABA semi's in 1988 and one of the judges voted for him (the other two scores were close). McMillan then dropped an iffy decision to the Scot Dave Anderson in the final at Wembley, after dropping Anderson in the first round. Edwards went pro and was building some momentum when he tripped doing his roadwork and broke a leg, which set him back. He later failed a brain scan and simply never got over it. RIP.

He was matched tough, difficult to be kept busy without a promoter behind you, too much time on your hands, didn't live the life
