Re: Shakiel Thompson vs David Benitez

Post by handsofstone »

Thompson dispatched of Benitez in 4 rounds, Benitez typical Argentine journeyman, wild, erratic, weak and tough at the same time, kept looking like he was looking for a way out but stuck around a bit, Thompson hit him with an uppercut to the balls in round 2, Benitez taking the near full 5 minutes then he was moaning about a punch to the back of the head, Thompson put him down legit in round 3 with a lovely straight left to the body, Benitez did get up but round 4 a right uppercut had him down again and he was done

Total mismatch, Thompson looked in control, both knockdowns were class but hardly a launchpad to Alimkhanuly

Pitters a domestic level boxer but he's tall, gangly and awkward as hell, can see him fiddling his way to a decision if I'm honest, especially at home
This fights rescheduled this Friday on DAZN

pretty sure rea fight was called off, only caught last part of the interview, sounds like opponent bottled it.

the frenchman had pitters cancel twice on him. the second time just days before the fight. hes not the one to be mad at. rea done nothing to deserve a shot and wasnt even going to get one until 2 days ago, its not like he lost a big chunk of his career waiting on a shot that kept being pushed back

If the BBBofC have got any interest in boxer's welfare, they should not have sanctioned Hughie-Garber. #31 vs #571 in the world. Absolutely disgusting.
