Let me guess, home fighter punches away fighter after the bell and gets a pat on the back and a wink from the ref?

That 2nd slip should've been a knockdown in the 4th. He landed a big right hand before he went down.

Yep this ref is not good

Glad his corner saved him there because the ref wasn’t going to

Good call by the corner throwing the towel in. I was going to suggest at the end of that round that it should be over, they did it before the end of the round. Wise choice. Nothing was going to change, and it had become not a matter of IF O'Regan is going to get hurt, but when.

His corner should have taken the kid out after the knock down. He was clearly gone. I know it's a title fight but he's a young kid who can come back from that, but taking extra punishment is hard to forget in future fights.

Why haven't they made the right fights for this kid at his proper weight ?

Another bullshite mismatch, Rafferty strong kid walking through everything thrown at him like fighting a five year old .
He's better than that .

I'm picking this next one to be better than the main event.
Gosh hasn't Fabio ruled this belt for a long time? Big boots to fill

Yeah. He needed his legs to outmove, and outbox Rafferty, and after that knockdown the legs were gone. By the end of the fight he was hurting him with everything he touched him with. Body or head.

Rafferty is a decent puncher his record shows that. ORegan hasn't a punch and was smaller than Rafferty.

I'm not sure it was a wise fight for his handlers to make to be honest.

Good scrap that, O'Regan brave as a lion, got off to a great start, boxing and moving pinging Rafferty and using the ring well, Rafferty was stalking trying to punch the body, O'Regan was having his best round in the 3rd, starting to put a bit more meat in his shots then just switched off after a clinch then Rafferty nailed him with a right and dropped him heavy, he got up on shaky legs took a few more big shots especially the one at the bell, tbf to O'Regan he was trying to stay in the fight but everything Rafferty landed thereafter unravelled him, he was getting pummeled to the body, was taking a trimming in the 5th, nearly going down a few times before the towel came, good call

There really was no need to send him out for the 5th.

In with a puncher a weight div above and he could never pittypat his way to a win.
Good stuff - Raffles a domestic beast, O'Regan game AF :salut:

Spot on
Silly call and up against lads of his own size and weight I'm sure he'd do ok .
Looked a nice slick boxer but without any power .

It is for that belt, most winners don't even defend it before moving on.
