Hrgovic has a pair of pillows ok.
Zhang hits hard, that's ok.

But still it seems odd.
I just think Zhang is freakily dominant in terms of fast twitch fibres. Bangs like a hammer but no stamina. Sprinter.
for fast twitch dominant he's rather slow, iin fact many big punchers are/were. how does that work

What was?
The fight. Joyce needs his licence taken from him.

Who gives him stick? Nobody who is worth a wank. He's been a warrior. I think most people just don't want to see him long term hurt.

ya i think most people like big joe, he gets the slow joe jokes but those are more just people doing some light hearted memeing, not serious digs at him. and tbf he is slow

Zhang countered him with a much cleaner, shorter left hook and probably put more into it.

He slows down fast but he's explosive and has fast hands for two or three rounds. He moves slow on his feet and stalks men rather than rushes them because he fatigues so quickly - pacing himself.

At the start of the 6th I thought Joe could win this purely on fitness and durability.
But Hrg really dug deep and just did some lovely work. Sure it wasn't full power by any stretch, but it was eye catching enough to nullify Joe's work rate and ineffectiveness.

interesting , a lot of big punchers look fairly slow or average speed at best to me, while there are a lot of fast light hitters

if we went down the list of the top 100m sprinters and top marathoners, do you think we'd have good proxies for the hardest natural hitting and lightest hitting in the world?

Barry Jones making good points about JJ potentially having problems after boxing.

zhang is a huge hitter, dropped or stopped pretty much everyone he's been in with

parker and jerry forrest fights i remember for the look on their faces of 'WTF just hit me'
Yes Parker was just sat straight on his arse on the second KD and I haven't seen anyone do that to him, he isn't chinny.

Not necessarily. I think a top super-heavyweight Olympic weightlifter or shot putter could be the hardest puncher if they had the right technique but there's so much more to boxing than how hard somebody hits, as you know.

I'd take the attributes of a top middle distance runner over anything else if I wanted the raw material for a fighter.

Of course, anyone who spends their time thinking of the next drop of unpleasant shite to fling on social media isn’t worth a wank. It’s just a shame these folks are out there, ready to ridicule Joyce after every interview.

This is literally the only social media platform I use, so I'm not exposed to that side of things much. Hopefully Joe avoids it too,.

Edit: slight inaccuracy there, I watch one YouTube channel and one podcast too but avoid the comments.

I dropped off briefly during the chief support so just watched it back.

Eff me that ref was annoying as hell.

Agreed. Anybody who gets pleasure out of seeing a bloke getting smacked in the head that many times by an 18 stoner needs to look in the mirror. Joe's defence at this stage barely exists.

Joyce vs Adeley for the brittish….

Adeley should have to rematch tkv I think cause that was clearly a punch after the call of break, ref was terrible…

but if he does not. Then I think the options are Moses, (fisher vs Allen winner), Joyce…

If Joyce hasn't made enough money out of the sport that he needs to fight David Adelaye for the British title as a 40-year-old nobody should ever turn pro IMO.

I thought I was watching a boxing match from the game Undisputed.

Both guys very slumbersome and Joyce didn't seem switched on to the point that his boxing has caught up with him mentally.

He needs to retire before he goes down the Danny Williams route.

I don't think JJ is mentally strong.

I watched a bit of the highlights and saw exactly what I expected - Joe receiving flush hits with almost no defence. switched off. surprised he got to the end.

Not interested in the Joyce fight but I've just watched the highlights of adeleye v tshikeva.

Fairly crap referee. Neither actually broke anyway.

Tkv was very messy using his forehead to jab etc.

Overall a pretty scrabby fight with a disappointing end due to a sub standard referee.

There will not be a rematch to save the crowd from further punishment!

TKV is a hard watch, a spoiler, overweight, low workrate
