I am going to buy one when they go on general sale on the Ipswich Town website to see the hometown star do the business as I think the last time a Suffolk boxer fight for a world title was David Starie down at Super Middleweight when he fought Joe Calzaghe.
Have to say, that was one of the worst fights I can remember! (I'm sure Wardley Miller will far better)
Bound to be and I am looking forward to getting my ticket when they go on general sale on the ITFC website on Wednesday afternoon after the season ticket holders and the members have had first dip. I can envisage Wardley (who I have met twice) emerging from the home dressing room Portman Road with Sam Morsy our club captain carrying one of his belts in front of him waking him to the ring and the ground absolutely buzzing

Oh and Big Baby Miller getting pelters having done the press conference in a Norwich City shirt just as Frazier Clarke when they announced their first fight for the British title.

I didn’t watch it all yet cause it’s 10 minutes but boy Jared Miller can really talk. Funny too. I can’t remember a more loquacious American heavyweight since you know who :D

What is he yelling in that clip? And why is he so angry? Surely Fabio hasn’t actually made a song about him?!

What a coincidence they’re both Man United fans

I do wonder if Frank inadvertently gave Wardley a hospital pass. Wardley had no clue about the song. Frank was saying "do your research on the song". Did he know about it/authorise it? And still the best promoter in the game.

Wardley is a season ticket holder at Town and is sponsored by the club and has modelled some of our home shirts and paraded the British and Commonwealth title at Portman Road, plus Frazier Clarke did the same thing as Jermall Miller did for their first fight for the British title.

It's fairly lively rivalry between us and Norwich in the 'Old Farm Derby' which is what Miller is tapping into, however our friends up the A140 will park their club loyalties and back Fabio.

I can’t say I’ve got a good feeling about Wardley in this fight.

Dubois had to land a ridiculous amount of bombs to break Miller down. I’m really not sure Fabio can match that.

He's got his work cut out, no doubt. Miller is a big favourite for me BUT I don't care. Wardley needs to go to war, Gatti style, and he'll be the man we all want to watch again win or lose. He should plan on this plus a maximum of four more fights and then walk away - a wealthy legend, who people will think of as a lad they'd want to have next to them in the trenches.

My favourite British fighter for many a long year.

Miller kept coming all night, soaked up bombs round after round, and DDD only got to him at the end.

If you are busy, Miller may give up some rounds, but you need to be careful not to punch yourself out, DDD showed great heart and fitness, maybe the JJJ taught him something about lasting the distance.

And I'm sure Miller is juiced to the eyeballs

I could be underestimating Wardley of course, I’ve certainly done it before.

At the moment though I can’t see past a nightmare unfolding for Fabio in the second half.

Wardly loves a big swarm. And I can see that getting him in trouble. Think he needs to back foot it if he has that at all. Just jab and move, off 1-2 and When miller bulldozes throw a 1-2-(Mabey 3) and get out.

With millers concrete head I genuinely am concerned for wardlys hands if he gets wild like he can. Also his gas tank.

If wardly is going to get wild it should be late on the game when there isn’t time for gassing to really fvck him.

Saying that Wardley showed he can fight at a high tempo over 12 v Clarke

My instinct is to pick Miller here.

Although, I have to admit, I've consistently underestimated Wardley so far (I was the same with Froch for a long time).

Be interested to see the odds.

Edit: early odds are up – Wardley (4/9), Miller (9/5), Draw (16/1)

Lewis Edmundson who is the British and Commonwealth Light Heavyweight Champion possibly is on the undercard from a conversation I had with someone who is involved in Wardley"a camp last week at work.
