Edgar Joe Cortes is the best 9-7-1 late replacement I ever saw.

Worth keeping an eye on him for him undercard upsets. :salut:

Yeah, should be a good night.

I think I'd have actually bet on Stan @ best price if he'd hadn't had the layoff.
Boots is better obviously, but might be tight @ the weight, didn't look great last time...
It all points to a close 12 rounder of highest quality.

Giyasov should get a KO here, but got out-of-ring tragedy over him - might not really wanna be there..

Totally boring fight as was the fight with the Uzbek not evenly matched one sided affairs..

Only fight of interest was Omari Jones looked good probably has high ceiling to improve...

That fight they were running by a 5 second clapper instead of a 10 second clapper? Is that a New Jersey thing or is someone just shot at there job?

100-90 x3 to Savage Ford. :salut:

Mattice game, crafty and veteran enough to go the distance.
Very harsh of the crowd to boo such a classy performance, but it WAS a bit boring.

I don’t think harsh from the crowd if they were booong the opponent.

Crafty enough to go 10 rounds… but didn’t really try to win…

I don’t expect him to try win rounds even, he is outclassed, but he needed to let his hands go more. Like if he let 2 or 3 home run rights go a round at least then he is giving himself a punches chance.

And as his corner said to him befor the last round “I don’t care if your windmilling, you have to let your hands go”…..

Ford is an ex world champ looking to become a world champ again, that’s too good to be fighting guys happy to go the distance. Needs to be fighting guys willing to risk losing bad to have a chance of winning at all….

think you're a bit harsh too Greg - Mattice had to hang tough, hold, spoil and whanot a lot of the time - sure.
But he defo took some risks coming fwd and trying to time Ford for a bomb in spells too.

Boots looks huge.

Boots round with about 7000 more punches thrown…

Nice pressure from the Lithuanian and it will be interesting to see how boots glass tank holds up if it continues.

Boots with a billion more thrown again and another round in the bank.

Interestingly the 2 best shots of the fight are Lithuanian left hooks. But haven’t had huge effect.

Boots again but few good shots from Lithuania that round.

Could have almost been a knockdown called too. Probably not but you see em called…

Boots again.

But being hit a bit too much to be showboating. I like boots but I’d love stani to at least drop him here.
