More worryingly, in my opinion, is the reffing. A good friend of mine lost in the elite semis yesterday on a split. He got a standing count in the last round without getting hit. The kid who beat him had two dodgy counts in his favour in the bout before... A London kid.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025, 17:14 while were on the ams again...
headgear has a lot of haters, but without it cuts are way more common now, which is a total bummer in a tournament format
team gb boxing in finland atm, and in the semis there were at least 3 fights ended on cuts from head clashes (2 with gb boxers). one happened only a minute into the fight, so they went to a decision based on that 1 minute of the guys feeling each other out , which was kind of ridiculous, but what else could they do.

He's very good and fan friendly. He'll do loads of tickets to the Albanians and him and Leo are really close friends. It's not Maca tomorrow, though.

Is Marku in the UK prison system or Greece's? Either way he'll be out in a few months, won't he?JamesPhilips wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025, 10:38I mean Marku really shifted tickets… Isn’t he in the nick now? I’m not sure. The articles online are a bit inconclusive and contradictiry. The whole affair is a bit odd..Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025, 11:16Is Marku in the UK prison system or Greece's? maca is very entertaining, goes hard at the opponent all bout and throws lots of big shots. euro gold + world silver so well proven beyond uk, albeit not as a senior

Won't Two Tier Keir deport him?
Re: Adam Maca turns pro
Did a Google, seems on odd one, jailed for 7 years in Greece in 2010
They let him out after 18 months.
Now they want him back
Doesn't say why? Perhaps some parole violation? Was let out too early by mistake?

It seems he did the 18 months in Germany…. That’s why it’s all so weird. Is he in remand in UK awaiting extradition? It’s not clear

Leo's Matchroom deal is official. I'm told it's a very good one.
Re: Adam Maca turns pro
Confirmed Matchroom as per Mick (above). Good decision from Attang and Matchroom. Hope he has a good career.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025, 14:32Atang should sign with Hearn IMO. FW is laden with heavyweight talent, you cannot serve them all. Hearn doesn't have any decent heavyweights, so Atang would get his full attention.

It’s great to closely follow an amateur and see them turn pro.
I’m looking forward to his debut.
