Oh stunned and hurt obviously, and may well have been KTFO soon, but just TOO EARLY.

Cam wasn't throwing back, but he WAS covering up and probably comes back in to the fight in some way or other.
*Caneron was a typo I fixed quickly. no slight on him intended

Cameron got rocked then rocked again, hard to see what he was going to do to stop Whitakers attack. As much as it pains me to say it.

Give it up Ben - you're the heel now.

You're gonna make a lot of money from people hating you and wanting you KTFO, so take that.

That spitting issue is crap.
If you shout when your lips are swollen it's quite possible that a bit of f gob will come out.
Nothing to see there.

Who funds his gym set-up in Ireland now? I genuinely have no idea.

I liked Andy Lee as a fighter and I like him as a trainer too. Same way as I like Whittaker as a fighter.

All the other stuff I park at the door (but I am a bit weird like that and see your general point).

Ref has two option in that scenario…..
Wait until he’s bludgeoned to the canvas or step in and stop it. Very few refs are going to risk the former as the risk is too high. Ideally Cameron takes a knee..but I’m not sure he was in any condition to think that logically…

Adeleye tries but he's not very convincing. You can tell he's a nice lad at heart. Whittaker is a more convincing heel.

I think we all have to otherwise none of us would be watching. I have no idea re his gym funders, I just hate people chatting about principles when they do stuff so contrary to it.

As a stand alone win it was impressive from Whitaker.

The gut check that he may or may not be able to overcome, will have to happen further down the line.

Happy Easter all.

I agree with that. Hypocrisy is pathetic for sure.

Watched the stoppage back. It was a textbook 'British Stoppage'. I think the fight would've only gone one way but Foster should've given us time to find out.

What about Okolie? He is like that Colin Robinson character in What We Do In The Shadows.

P.s. Shalom's run in was very reminiscent of Eddie's when Froch beat Bute.

I don't like to come up with future scenarios or name boxers who'd beat the winner, moments after they get a job done, because it feels like being a hater, grasping at straws.

That said...I'm still not convinced. Andy Lee or not, Jesus and a gospel choir, it doesn't matter, world level is full of good fighters. That gut check will come again. He'll face someone in 12 hard rounds who doesn't fold and has an answer for everything.

I am happy to be proven wrong, Ben Shalom can say whatever he wants, but this is no pound-for-pound elite talent star in the making. In my opinion. Just don't see it.

If Liam can see nearly all of Quittie's shots coming and block them on his gloves and forearms- then anyone a slight step up from him can as well. Andy Lee will be well aware of that now.
So expect a slow rise through the ranks for Ben from now on.

Shalom is fighting for the future of his business, he needs to sell his stable to Sky and if they don't want it DAZN or he's cooked IMO. I hope he gets another contract, he's okay by me, learning the hard way day by day and keeping going. He's a strong character for a young lad.

Yes, suspicious.
He only had to wait a little (or call KD) and it woulda been won fair and square.

Howard Foster strikes again...and again...and again....etc etc

The bloke is just twitching to stop fights the moment the action heats up :brick:

I've been taken to task over the years for criticising Foster, but I stand by every word....Foster is invariably premature and so it proved again tonight.

Well I think most can agree win or not . Bad or good stoppage Whittaker is NOT the new face of boxing and Jesus's behind him or not . He.s going to have an eady ride from now on

I need to watch that again some time, I can’t recall too many films as consistently funny all the way through.
