Turki owns The Ring and is bankrolling the fight, so I guess he can make up a belt in this nothing fight if he wants to.
So much for him complaining about too many belts, only when it suits him though eh?

Even though the stadium sales were slower than expected, I think the PPV numbers will be big. Brits are generally regarded by other nations as sheep who do as they are told. This event is being sold well now. No other nation laps up shyte so willingly. Senior is the best promoter and he's not even on the payroll.

Sr has been slagging the fight for years :maybe:
Maybe that helps promote it.
But he has consistently said it's a rubbish fight between two guys who shouldn't be in the ring together.

It won’t be on the line. He’s probably just promoting it as it’s the ring belt.

I’m sure at the previous presser, the guy in the middle held a different belt.

All the people who do truly feel this is a nothing fight should just concentrate on Taylor v Essuman in a few weeks time. Same weight, both proven at a much higher level.

Brits are strange. Senior's talk of injuries and danger get the fight mainstream coverage which will lead to rubber neck purchases by the thousands.

Hearn continues to get more distasteful over time. "I can't wait for him to smash you to pieces." Sounds like a teenager. Embarrassing

His Eggcellency, Conor Benn really does look fierce.

He reminded me of his dad when he fought Iran Barkley.

Nigel looked like he wanted to kill Barkley and he certainly tried to tear Iran's head off in their fight.

Eddie looked really bothered in the media interview after the conference on the Stomping Ground. He snapped at Radio Raheem.

Eddie seemingly losing his cool, he’s got no words to hurt Eubank Jr with so it’s all on Benn to go out there and “smash him to pieces”.

This is going to be some tense opening round on Saturday night.

The official weigh-in takes place at 11am (GMT) on Friday, with a ceremonial weigh-in – one with all bells and whistles for the cameras – set for 6pm.

Been reading Eubank Jr’s comments about whether he just adds the permitted 10lbs on after the first weigh in, or he goes for the usual 14lbs and then cuts the 4lbs before the fight night weigh in.

I’m not an expert but the latter sounds like a terrible idea surely. But I suppose he is very familiar with how the weight cut feels at the 170lb mark.

Should be good. But both are past prime, hopefully at around the same level so we get a close one.
Still not really a "road to a world title" though. Taylor is done at that level, and we are talking about the boxrec #23 vs #41

Can you imagine Eddie’s manic reaction if Conor were to stop Jr,. His ring invasion post Froch Bute would look like a polite handshake by comparison.

In such circumstances it’d be funny to see Ronnie Davies take offence and slap him to the canvas

It goes both ways. CEJ has been very critical of Eddie and won’t let him talk without interrupting him.

And when he mentions getting the weight off because he knows that's Ben's only route to victory. Embarrassing

Best one was when Bellew beat Haye. And Bellew was like GTFOM
