Hearn continues to get more distasteful over time. "I can't wait for him to smash you to pieces." Sounds like a teenager. Embarrassing
And when he mentions getting the weight off because he knows that's Ben's only route to victory. Embarrassing
It’s a bit sick & twisted that.

If the worst happened & Eubank ended up in a bad way then Hearn should never work in the sport again but we all know he wouldn’t lose a second of sleep & would carry on as normal.

It goes both ways. CEJ has been very critical of Eddie and won’t let him talk without interrupting him.
That's a false equivalence IMO.
A multi-millionaire promoter who has made his money through the blood, sweat and tears of fighters talking about his desire for a boxer to get "smashed to pieces", when he knows the damage these guys accumulate in their careers, is a whole different level. It's cowardly as much as anything else.
Talking over someone at a press conference doesn't even come close by comparison.
What A Force and Josh said reinforces the point I'm trying to make.

Are Sky and DAZN both doing their own broadcasts?

Do we know who the pundits are yet ?

And crucially for me and most others on here , is Adam Smith on comms for DAZN ?

I regret to advise it will almost certainly be that buffoon Adam smith on DAZN ( Impossible to get rid of him, he’ll ass kiss his way in anywhere, plus Eddie owes him for letting him bend him over the desk at sky for 15 years )

His protege/clone/cheerleader/Judas Andy Clarke is bad enough at sky but anything’s preferable to smith dramatically yacking away non stop

Yeah I'm over it.
This time I'm doing it a bit different, I sometimes have Talk Sport as my commentary, but for this fight I'm having a 'watch a long' on YouTube with Propa

Oh who’s that? never heard of it..I’ll go w sky, I’d prefer radio or whatnot but usually there’s a slight delay

Has Mike Costello been canned and smith walked in right over him?

Nigel Benn talking up Conor's sparring was absolutely embarrassing

I think this fight will be a mismatch in all honesty, who has Benn actually fought? Chris Algieri? He's going to get hit back on Saturday and who knows how he will react. So far I've seen nothing to suggest he's at the level of Liam Smith that Eubank Jr took to pieces.

Eddie’s wealth doesn’t really come into it.

If someone is consistently rude then there’s going to be a reaction which I won’t hold against them.

Just like if Eddie is being a nob about someone then it’s no issue for them to go back at him.

It is good/pretty new to see Eddie so rattled. He hates not being allowed to talk.

His Eggcellency, Conor Benn has just returned from 1946 where he made peak Sugar Ray Robinson quit in sparring! :o

If I were Chris Eubank Jr I would pull out now with whatever Daniel Dubious pulled out with before the Joseph Parker fighter.

Oh Jesus I hadn’t even thought about Smith. I’ve got some pals coming over for the fight and we’ll be banished from the living room so will need to watch via an app on another tv.

Do Sky Box Office still do an app for smart tvs?

We'll have to disagree on this one.

My issue isn't the size of his wealth, it's the source of it.

If your business has a model that in part is dependant on participants risking physical and mental damage, there is a moral dimension at play here. To will one of those participants to get smashed to pieces is repugnant IMO.

As for action and reaction, as per my previous post, there has to be a sense of proportionality, surely you would accept that?

I'd have zero issue with him telling Eubank Jr he was being a dick. However stating he wants him to suffer significant physical damage in this most unforgiving of sports is just plain wrong.

100% I thought it was embarrassing Nigel Benn bringing up sparring

I thought he knew different than that, genuinely felt embarrassed for him watching him chime on about sparring, and obviously talking s**t

I do see where you’re coming from but I wasn’t that bothered by Eddie’s choice of words. Perhaps I should have been but I didn’t take the words literally. If he’d said he wanted Benn to inflict long term damage etc then I’d obviously be well against it but I think he just used a throwaway line.

CEJ has called Eddie a scumbag, fraud etc so I’m not surprised Eddie wants to see Benn win well. I’m sure Eddie doesn’t want to see Eubank in hospital post fight but I’d imagine he wants Benn to do something similar to what Smith did to Eubank in the first fight and KO him early.

Buffer will do the main event.

Frank’s guy Thomas Trieber (an ex pro wrestler) will likely do the rest.

It was interesting at the presser how Ring CEO Rick Reeno was seemingly having a go at Eddie with his comments on DAZN’s show quality. He was set next to Shalom and tapping him on the back and he obviously must be close with Turki.

He was saying it’s a Ring show. Not a MR or Boxxer show etc.

It was the first time I’ve ever heard from him.
