If Johnson fought a much younger version of Charles in 1940s where he in the light heavyweight division and beat the likes of Moore,Bivins,Maxim
how would this have go like

I'd take Charles on points if each man were at his peak. They were on a par skill wise, but Charles was faster. Both were master boxers.

I got ezzard Charles (btw anyone willing to give this attention)?

At their best at light heavyweight, both boxers would box like a chess match, but Charles would counter and land more jabs and combinations to take a decision.

Pretty much agree. On average, Charles would do just enough to win. Outside chance of Charles scoring a KO, but Johnson would have little chance of doing that.

A tough fight to pick between two great complete boxers and outstanding technicians. I think that it would have been a fight that only true boxing fans would have liked to see.
The two would try to outthink the other and could become a boring fest. I would lean for the great Cincinnati Cobra, Ezzard Charles. He was a fighter that didn't get his just due.
