I'd favor Hagler, but Golovkin would've made him work for it.
I don't think they're far off, but Hagler had more versatility to his game, and was quicker with his hands. I also think he's tough enough to take Golovkin's best shots, and as his career shows whenever a guy takes his shots things get tough for Golovkin.

Agreed, it was the last time we saw peak Hagler.
His next fight against Hearns in '85, he had started to lose his speed and had become a street fighter, as opposed to the classic boxer puncher he had been.
