Badou Jack v Jake Paul

Post by MasterG »

Green light been given according to talk sport.

Looks like Paul will win a genuine world title belt.

Badu jack still way to good and way to big…. (Not that he is bigger he just isn’t smaller)

That being said…. He is arguably the worst genuine world champion in boxing right now, son I guess it could be a laugh.. (I haven’t done the research to back that up)

Personally I feel that’s a world title cherrypick canelo should be looking at… if badu can tread water till may 2026 that’s got canelo cruiserweight world champ written all over it…

Actualy it would be kinda perfect for badu jack to KO Paul to become a name pre canelo fight…. Yuk that is WWE… he should just be fed to Jai who is the real world champion regardless of abc belts… but WWE sells…

Canelo did try to cherry pick..

Jack didn't want to do Catchweight, as it would put him at health risk.

How good if Chavez Jr rolls back the years and lays Jake Paul to waste, have him chicken dancing around the ring becoming a meme before the count reaches 10

Don't you think there'll be an agreement in place, like the Tyson fight?

I suspect there will, Paul can afford to throw money at it to get that contracted in can't he.

Awful spectacle. Wouldn't be surprised if they add a rematch clause and Jack throws it

That's how Paul will win a world title. He will throw so much money at the opponent and a letter to sign to keep his gob shut and win a world title.

If I ran a Mexican cartel I would pay Chavez to go off script and beat Paul. Partly for a laugh and partly because of Chavez Sr.

Edit: if I ran a Me ican cartel I would probably just tell him to win.

He couldn’t beat Tommy Fury. He’s not beating Badou Jack in a proper fight.

Paul looks to take advantage of weakness, whether it's old age, drug addiction or greed. with all that YouTube money, nobody will believe it if he actually does win a title on merit

Jack was a genuinely good boxer. but sometimes he has these bad nights where he doesn't seem able to get his punches off. I didn't see his last contest but assume it was one of those fights in which he wasn't able or willing to pull the trigger. if he's a world champ he should not be taking two years off. it was a shame that Rozicki pulled out as his style may have suited Jack. If Jack becomes the man who "makes" Jake Paul as a "genuine" legit pro boxer, history will judge him very harshly.

He’s going to be close to 42 if they fight, and been a pro 16 years, Paul could win this is Jack is faded or takes the money to gift it, which is sad

I want to see Jake Paul laid out cold for a 10 count.
I don't care who does it

Badou still has enough to beat him comfortably. Chavez Jr should just plod to a decision loss

It's Badou Jack. We may be looking at a draw if he fights Jake Paul.

Badou Jack has a thing for them draws.

In years to come Paul will come out and publicly say how he bought boxing, how he paid people off to win fights and won a world title by paying off the opponent, judges and referee.

Badou is loved by the Saudis. If it's over there that evens it out a lot.

He's Muslim iirc, seems a good guy too, must be hard getting in shape or doing a camp at 41 though

It's only speculation, but a number of journos and Teddy Atlas talked about the possibility of an agreement pre fight.
