Turki Alalshikh has related that he wants more even matchups, and the best have to fight the best. He also states he wants the sport to be more like MMA records wise where there are few undefeated fighters, as there is not really a "building up" phase where the MMA fighter gets easier fights and gradually increases the level as boxers sometimes do. This means no more undefeated world title challengers with glossy records.
This means tougher, even fights from the beginning, with even the best having at least a few losses before they challenge for a title.
What do you all think ?? Good or no ? why or why not ?
Boxing going the way of mma regarding matchups and records ? Is it a good thing?

Better, more competitive matchups can only be good for the sport.

The best fighting the best and everyone else fighting others on their level is way better for the sorry sport. There's is a more American approach to sports which Boxing currently follows where they try to create an icon and have people interested in the individual rather than the sport. In boxing this is through undefeated records and saying they're the best ever every five minutes. However, most other sports let the sport do the talking while athletes come and go which is what it should be to have people interested in all levels rather than just saying "I was there" when there's a big fight.
Also, defeats happen in all sports. In boxing, some guys get better, some guys get worse. Sometimes they make mistakes or have the fight of their life. A shock one punch knockout is one of the things that makes boxing so exciting. A blemished record doesn't mean an opponent shouldn't get a title shot. It's who their blemishes are against, when they were and the manner in which they lost that are most important. Ali, Leonard, Tyson, Pacquiao, Canelo and nearly every other big draw (barring Mayweather) all had losses on their records in title fights so that's for the business to work out how to promote them.

its a good thing, to do it they need to make sure guys that lose are put back into competitive fights quickly, to regain momentum and credibility, rather than spending the next few years 'rebuilding' vs cans
if guys who lose can still get good fights after, then also it should reduce the apprehension some guys have to take a chance vs higher level opponents

Did this a decade ago didn't we
I remember saying boxing would be smaller, not micro managed but in order to salvage the health of boxers and the longevity of the sport, measures would be taken to ensure the numbers come down
That's where you are today
And it's a good thing
We seem to be doing fine in the long run
